Any tips for this first boss? I see a lot of complaints about the last boss and trash but not much about the first one.
Our healer is having a hard time keeping everyone topped up in this fight (+9 key, we are all around 382 ilvl).
Not a complaint post just looking for suggestions on how to help the healer out by either reducing group damage taken our ways to position to help him heal better.
Tank the boss away from the middle.
Drop the hailstorms close to each other and watch your feet! (One shot alert)
The player targeted by the ice pulsing mechanic needs to run out, pop a DR, and come back to the group as it does pulsing damage the closer you are to it and the targeted player, if slow can get gibbed.
The most group damage goes out when the whelps
Spawn and the bosses shield is up. HARD SINGLE TARGET THE BOSS passively cleaving the whelps. This is important as to not pull aggro from the whelps, and to remove the shield at the same time. Get the shield down ASAP and kick ASAP. This helps your healer the most. Healer could use big CDS on the first shield, and the group can use defensives and health pots on the second.
If your serious about timing keys, I highly recommend health pots and using them often. They heal for 130k HP which is about 60% of most peoples HP in a single click at this ilevel. Season 1 they are invaluable and often under utilized. There is also a great damage potion (static discharge something or other) that pulses aoe dmg that can be useful in fights with a lot of clumped ads for additional damage. Very impactful if everyone uses one at the same time.
