RSS needs a glad mount - only hope for long term participation!

Before anyone mentions it, RSS healer MMR needs to be fixed ASAP it is down right
ridiculous that a healer can go 5-1, gain 0 cr and lose MMR. It is not a good system and quite frankly shows the lack of testing that went into healer mmr. Fixing this issue would increase healer and DPS participation in RSS.

A gladiator - style mount (recolour) IS an appropriate reward for wow’s most popular (current) PVP gamemode. Legend, especially in DF season 2 is quite hard to obtain, much harder than KSM. The difficulity of this feat makes a mount a reasonable reward.

I mention this because I know how popular Ranked Battleground Blitz (RBGB) will be and I fear that it will steal the few healers left from RSS. Personally, I will be playing all brackets of PVP on multiple toons (yes, degen).

If a mount was added, I and many others (although not everyone) would continue to play 3s as it offers a different yet still fun experience.

Adding a mount would mean fewer people would queue 3s yes, however, it would greatly increase overall particiaption in Rated wow PVP.

Adding a mount to legend would give people a reason to push RSS each season. While I know R1 is a reason to push, by defenition only 0.1% of the ladder can obtain or even aspire to this. The pennant reward is a joke in comparison and you know this blizz. Seeing someone on a legend mount would be a sign of prestiege, no one thinks this when they see one pennant on someones back every few months (because it is a terrible reward for the feat achieved).

Blizzard, fix the issues outlined and give people a legit reason to queue this extremely fun gamemode.

LMK your thoughts

thanks.

Legend definitely deserves a glad mount recolor.

The only people that would say otherwise are the stubborn 3v3 mains desperately hoping that 3v3 doesn’t completely fall off the map.

Adding a different mount to shuffle should have little to no effect on 3s participation. The glad mount will still be the highlight for those that enjoy higher end 3s, and the lower-middle portions of the bracket probably aren’t trying to push for glad. For the players leftover, they don’t play 3s, so it won’t change anything for them.

I agree that it would greatly increase overall participation. For 3s to become popular with casuals again, Blizzard is going to need to implement solo queue functionality that feeds into the 3s ladder. Until then, the vast majority aren’t going to be interested (e.g., the vast majority encompassing those that either don’t care about the glad mount, don’t have partners to push for glad mount, aren’t good enough [yet] to get glad mount, etc.).

I play 3s way more than shuffle yet I agree with this.

Greatly

Could be interesting but probs not going to happen. Queueing like this is a massive disadvantage to you and anyone serious about pushing glad wouldnt do this. At best it would increase participation in lower brackets which would have knock on effects up the ladder.

1 time glad (BFA s4) duelist every other season. No surprise you are saying this.

Really??? I dont even have glad (roast me, like I care lol). Saying this just proves Bourbon’s point.

you guys were able to summon dorito with this post lol. this is not something that the high end community would like. they’d actually find it really offensive if this ever happened.

Who cares though? Making the top 0.1% happy shouldnt be a prio. Again I want to stress my point, I love 3s and play it more than shuffle (recently at least). Adding this mount would be a good thing as it would bring in more people into the competitive PVP scene amongst other things mentioned in the OP.

i completely agree. shuffle should give some type of mount. most people who are like 2500 in shuffle are also at or capable of hitting 2500 on ladder.

Not sure about that tbh. Also lmk if u wanna turbo or thunder. Im at 2kcr in 3s rn.

i haven’t been that motivated to do 3’s since shuffle came out.

Tried for it once, got it once. Feelsgoodman

I know the truth hurts, but dang, I didn’t mean to trigger you to the point that you had to dive into my achievements.

It really does rofl.

Guys like this with no emotional control do their best to bring themselves up by putting others down, and are another reason why 3s has such low participation.

E.g., you have so many random jabronis that are incredibly high-strung and ready to lash out the second anyone says anything that they disagree with.

Doesn’t matter if the person even plays 3s/goes for gladiator, they will dish out toxicity by pretending that you tried and failed.

Doesn’t matter if you have 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, etc. glads, they will dish out toxicity by figuring out which seasons you got glad in, and then trying to discredit you that way (“oh those seasons were inflated”, “x, y, z comp was broken”, etc.).

I would pity these players, but they don’t really deserve it.

oof

It is the internet so people are going to say stuff like that. At the end of the day we all want what is best for the game lets just work towards that… add the mount.

Exactly

Nah, please don’t be a hypocrite that you care about the game, you just want easy rewards, the modern community is a bunch of whiners and beggars.

Solo shuffle is the peasant bracket, they deserve nothing.

If people are only doing content for a mount or other cosmetic reward - then the content really isn’t innately appealing and Blizzard shouldn’t try to save it.

People run Random BGs all day, for no reward, because they like the content.

Maybe Random BGs should give a mount so players can earn cosmetics while playing the content they like :^)

cry because u r bad and incapable of achieving 2400 glad in a real bracket

Not a glad mount at all. Just give the shufflers the “Waist of Time” belt mog and make shuffle be how you get the vicious mount for the season :man_shrugging:t2:

Here’s to hoping shuffle dies to the RBG solo que :beers:
