Rsham needs help

I’ll start this out by saying I’m a career duelist. I don’t sweat enough to push higher rating, most of my gameplay is hitting 1800 for elite sets on nearly every class, every season. And then I’ll push 2100 or so on one or two later on when inflation hits for enchants. I like to think I’m at least decent enough at the game to know what I’m talking about.

But holy crap is rsham a struggle rn. Idk what it is but I’m struggling 200 mmr lower than where I currently play on other healers. I swear I’m losing to players that are significantly and noticeabley worse than me due to class design/balance. Priest (both specs) and rdruid are significantly easier to do well with right now. Rsham I feel you have to put in much more effort for less results.

I think the throughput is there for the most part. Rsham can pump some heals when allowed to, and I think the small buffs next reset will help. But rsham struggles especially in shuffle because it has the worst healer cooldowns in the game and I’ve been saying it for years. Spirit Link needs a serious redesign as well as Earthen Wall Totem. Two of your biggest cds have positional requirements which is a nightmare in shuffle - 90% of the time ppl run out of Earthen anyways. There’s no real “oh sht” buttons you can press besides NS every 30 seconds, which also needs setup. I can’t save my ape teammates from their mistakes like I can on other classes. The fact that your healing totems are able to be killed (easily) is ridiculous. You only have one healing spell school which makes getting interrupted more punishing compared to something like a Priest.

It’s 2025, rsham’s kit is highly outdated as well as bloated. They need better healing cds, smart heals, and some better damage reduction cds that can’t just be walked out of by your own teammates.

  • Farseer: Elemental Reverb now increases Riptide healing by 20% (was 10%). Not applied to PvP combat.

Not a PvP change.

  • Earth Shield healing increased by 20% in PvP combat.
  • Earthliving Weapon healing increased by 20% in PvP combat.
  • Healing Rain healing increased by 15% in PvP combat.
  • Totemic: Surging Totem healing increased by 15% in PvP combat.
  • Totemic: Lively Totems now casts a free Chain Heal at 150% effectiveness in PvP combat (was 100%).

Earth Shield 20% buff is nice. Earthliving Weapon buff is ok but it’s only about 4-5% of overall healing. Healing Rain afaik is rarely cast in PvP. Healing Rain is part of the 4 set tier bonus and Rshams aren’t even taking 4 set in pvp. I haven’t played any Totemic so I can’t comment there but that’s because no one plays it.
