I need your help today to sort out a little reflexion I am having, I need help to decide what prfession I’ll have on my new main and my alts.
But first, a bit of context :
- I am starting a completionist journey, after 10 years of mostly focusing on pve content.
- I used to be an altoholic, but am reducing my army down to fewer toons (list below).
- I like to make gold with crafting, so I want to have at least every crafting professions.
- I recently switch my main from mistweaver monk to paladin because it fits more my current personal requirements (completionism, access to old mogs, viability in pve content, ability to mutli role, etc).
- I like to have a little RP/background to my characters, it makes them more wholesome and I enjoy playing them more, even though I don’t really do RP activities.
- inscription is my favorite profession so it will be on my main.
- I don’t really care about gathering professions, so I am ok not having them if I need to make room for a crafting profession. Also, i won’t make a toon just for gathering professions.
As of today, my character list is as such :
1. Mona, the Archivist - Holy Paladin human
- Goal : Main for completionism and PVE content
- Background : Mona is a human working in Stormwind great library, mainly focusing on archives. She is on an adventure to discover legendary books that would be witnesses to Azeroth’s past.

2. Émeraude, the hand of Death - Windwalker Monk Orque
- Goal : PVP main
- Background : She is a monk on an official mission to kill all alliance warriors she can, she gained her title after the famous ability ”touch of death”.

3. Urson, the bloodthirsty fury - Guardian Druid Worgen
- Goal : crafter
- Background : wild druid who stays most of his time in bear form, has anger issues and needs to kill a lot of creatures.

4. Thrahin, the forge from Hell - Enhancement Shaman Dark Iron Dwarf
- Goal : crafter
- Background : still in progress, but I thought the Shaman/DIdwarf/BS combo works a lot.

5. Astro, the fortune teller - Arcane Mage Human
- Goal : crafter
- Background : Astro uses her magic abilities to weave the thread of fates and predict the future of others, she is also able to enchant those who want to have some effect on their own destiny.

6. Prototype, the infernal machine - Destruction Warlock Mechagnome
- Goal : crafter
- Background : Prototype is the result of an experiment. We don’t know the name of its creator since the only 2 things the robot remembers is that a soul was introduced by alchemic magic into its metal heart, and that he has an unsustainable desire to burn everything.

What do I need your help for ?
- I am looking for a second profession for my main that would fit her background (not repeating one I have already assigned to another character)
- I wonder what profession could fit the PVP main (the monk dps), also fitting the background.
If you have any ideas, or suggestions, it could help me a lot. Also I am open to rearrange the professions among the toon as long as it can fit the backstory.
