Hi, I’m pretty new to RP. I really like forsaken lore as well as blood elf lore. I am wondering if I could RP as an undead blood elf mage, or if it would make no sense. I’ve seen people rp as stuff that aren’t reallyyy in the game and have it work. thanks!
The best solution would probably be a Belf DK but stuff can be open to interpretation. I’ve seen people use Belf Hunters to RP as Dark Rangers for example.
I’d say your immediate concern would be locking down a spooky transmog. And if you’re rolling a Mage there’s a pretty good San’layn inspired set you can get the transmog for in ICC. Be a good start.

I have a plan to do something similar, and with the new customizations I think it would be possible.
When creating the blood elf I would just pick the palest skin and hair color, then go with the pale white eye option, looks like death eyes to me, throw on some forsaken looking gear, like the warfront forsaken set and there you go forsaken blood elf
Or like the other person said go DK blood elf and pick the deadish options

If you have an addon like Total RP or vice versa where you outline what your character is in easily understood detail, people won’t look at you funny at all. I’ve done similar stuff for years!
Undead elves are totally a thing, just make it a point to know where in the lore your character died and was raised. In Forsaken rp where and when a character was raised is important.
That said, different undead rp guilds have different requirements to join. So if you plan on putting the character in an rp guild, be certain you look into any requirements for membership. For example, only allows Forsaken character models, and we are not the only ones.
There are lots of fun and spooky transmog options out there to compliment your rp.
