I would like to transfer to a RP server like Moonguard but i’'m a primarily pvper and don’t want to be stuck in a desolate WM phase. Has blizzard reversed the tech that put RP servers into a separate WM?
Can anyone who uses WM on MG give me their take esp. Do you like it and recommend it? Or is it not at all populated.

At least in the leveling zones I’ve tried, it has been basically dead. I’m also in Chromie time but there is almost never a war in Stormwind either. War mode Chromie time on an RP server is super lonely. Hopefully this is better in the DF zones after Chromie time.
Even if you did see other players, they’d likely be Alliance. There’s hardly any Horde on Moonguard.

moonguard has become my primary server
there are no serious PVPers… not like you would find on Sargeras, illidan, stormrage etc
There is also currently only 1 or 2 guilds who actively progress Mythic raiding.
Its a cozy server and trade chat has very very few people selling things or crafting services, rather its a bunch of uwu/OwO talk and memes all day
RP realms share their own WM shard. Like, if you have WM on on MG, you’d likely see mostly other MG Alliance, rarely WrA Horde, and sometimes a few from lower-pop servers sprinkled in alongside anyone who was brought in through LFG CRZ’ing.

BLizzard hasn’t touched that since doing so, correct? I thought i had heard they at least lessened it but that could’ve just been wishful thinking.
No, RP servers have their own shard still.
Moonguard get a lot of flack but i see its always on the “Full” list. Despite the joking, lots of players play on there
well damn.
Looks like ima stick to just phasing over then. I dont wanna give up WM.
WM on MG is super Alliance heavy, but if you play Horde there’s plenty of opportunities to scuffle.
its also pretty friendly there. wra is also friendly ppl just cry bc of the inn and the erp a tiny part focus on lol.
rp servers are more friendly in my exp.
At this point, I’m betting Blizz could get away with consolidating all servers into about 15 total new ones with great populations instead of the wastelands we have now. I won’t even mind if I have to lose my name, it would just be nice to see people again.
yeaaa but i main horde and a balance is nice imo. I feel like tich wm is balanced for instanced.
Not only that the locking to its own pocket space i think is needlessly limiting to encounters. I don’t blame them for doing so, but if they could lessen or remove it for WM at least i think that would be nice.
Tbh i was literally just thinking about this a day or two ago. Im sure they have the tech and i think its silly that there’s a horde and ally based RP server when they could just combine.
Would love for there to be no servers and we merge for a mega-server.
As someone that only turns off WM for RP events, I can honestly say that during events, patches, new expacs, and for the weeks after them you will typically find some world pvp. But as stuff dies down, less and less. It’s not a 24/7 warzone, but it’s active enough.
I like to make some silly names, I am kind of hesitant to join a RP server just to have someone scold me “That. Is not. A Real Thalassian name! Reported!”
hmm ok. But when its died down do you only ever see people from MG or you still encounter people from other servers? in WM that is.
Just pop a RP name into your TRP addon. Most of my characters are named with puns referencing their race and class, and haven’t had to get a flagged name change since MoP. They’ve really relaxed the naming rules 
I typically see them from WRA, horde side MG is basically non existent.
