So we’re at the Tuesday after the Hearthstone event ended, and sharding is still turned on for RP servers.
The rabbling begins…now.
Can someone nudge the server folks to have them re-enable the custom ruleset for RP servers that turns off sharding in legacy content including main faction cities outside Dragonflight zones? Main hubs looking empty due to being segmented off is an arrow to the knee of roleplay.
And then, in addition to that, character (non-Bnet) friendlists still aren’t showing. You can see people on your friendlist go on and offline like normal so they still exist, but they’re still not showing.
I know it’s probably all hands on deck for Plunderstorm, but the main game still needs to function normally in the meantime.

I came here to post the same thing. Log on for RP and the cities are empty.

How is it that this is still a problem? Event ended and we waited for a full weekly cycle, an d its still not fixed? So damn tired of this.

Because it’s every time.
EVERY TIME.
I’m fairly convinced that there’s only one person at the company who knows how to re-enable the ruleset, and less that understand that it’s a manual process that needs to be run every single time an event undoes the setting.
It’s clearly not a priority item, especially not with other serious bugs introduced by the Plunderstorm event going live, because roleplayers (despite being the most evergreen cash cows that ever cashed a cow) are never a consideration and never a priority. It’s just a matter of rabbling loud enough to get people’s attention on it.

No but for real! With the post-xpac stuff, I’m only subbed because I enjoy walking around and talking to people in the cities. Now I can’t and it’s really annoying. Even worse is that, for some reason, the friends list is broke. So odd imo
I was really, really hoping this would have been fixed with normal maintenance.

Same. I was holding off on full-scale rabbling to see if this was the time that they remembered to go in and fix it after the event ended.
It was not

Wasn’t there a post from someone at Blizz saying they were going to re-enable it with the reset last week? >:U

I don’t think they did it. The cities are still empty.

The last time this happened, it was something that eventually got announced by a Blue on the EU forums. We don’t get that kind of consideration or communication here.

People reminded them, and they responded, said they’d flick the switch but didn’t.
