Peace and greetings! I rolled onto Grobbulus to expand my character and to develop my character with other roleplayers. I was wondering where is everyone? Where are the roleplaying events? Is roleplaying happening, but I am not aware of it? One of the reasons I came back to classic wow was for the opportunity to explore this character with other people, but yet I have found almost a total vaccuum of continous roleplay.
Where are the roleplayers? I’m here to roleplay.
P.S. I am aware of the dwarf guilds and some other guilds doing roleplay.

I am not aware of any server in retail or classic where you will have continuous roleplay. I recommend finding several guilds which have fun RP events you can attend.
Thank you very much for your response. I’m still rather new to role playing with other people in Warcraft, so that’s a valuable piece of information. Helps me define what the scope of the role playing is in this game.
I suppose that the visibility of this post would attract anyone who interested in giving me attendance to such events.

To make it clear in short:
Muhammadah is a quel’dorei raised as a human.
Let me respond to the way you asked who my character is.
Firstly, if you wanted to attempt to discredit my roleplay or attack me all I can say is that you have failed. All you have demonstrated is that you have not read about my character, what I write, or are just too plain stupid to be able understand what you read.
Secondly, I apologize if I was harsh. I have written several stories about my character including a thorough short biography that narrates who she is.
I hope you understand that Muhammad is not a horde forsaken paladin. Muhammadah is an orphan elf child found outside Kharazhan at the end of the second war. She was brought to the cathedral of light where she lived until recent events. If you want to know more about the character check my post history.
P.S. People are RPing with me, but it is spontaneous. I am searching for people who are consistent. The attempt and effort to ask a question is not a sign of foolishness or ignorance, but rather an attempt to learn and be better.

Would you like to cite the name of such places? This is absurd how my attempt to find other people who role play is being turned into chum for sharks.
If I can recall any bans it is from the Grobbulus discord for linking one of the chapters of my posts in the roleplay subreddit. I think it was “The Tomb of John Horrigan Ch. 1” under being a “weird” post.
“We don’t like your roleplay and it’s not good enough for us, so we’re going to ban you for roleplay against how we think and expect roleplay should be done.” is the kind of attitude I received. As far as I know, Beckett and I are the only ones publishing consistent stories of our character, which is the quintessence of any kind of roleplaying.
Having an open forum allows people to say whatever they want, however true or untrue it is. Fortunately these shallow failures, like those of Ujay and Ezix, will never be able to convince those who possess the thinking skills to be able to form their own opinions from what they read.
What kind of people decide to go into a thread where someone requests something politely and attempt to ruin or discredit that individual who is the original poster.
Yikes. I can’t imagine what kind of lives you all must live with yourselves.

I for one enjoy your stories and im looking forward to reading your new ones you posted in a few minutes. I don’t personally role play, but i did play around with you to night for a few minutes while you were looking for the gnome. I was the naked human that was behind ya lol. From looking at the forums both here and reddit seems like the best Roleplay guilds are Horde, like Redwood Tribes.

Rather than make an attempt to add to the discussion, or give feedback as to why you he was “banned from multiple other places” - you drop in a very petty comment.
RP isn’t what you deem it to be as king proclaimer. The Enclave situation really emboldened a lot of the outraged, serially offended among you.

I’m glad that people who can see what this is for what it is are speaking up.
I’ve only been banned once from any channels of communication. That ban was from the Grobbulus discord for writing “The Tomb of John Horrigan Ch. 1” and linking it. Followed up from that ban, Ujay, commented that he wished he could ban me from these forums too. Why? Simply because he did not like what I wrote.
Anticipating the potential replies and ammunition that could be used in this kind of discussion, when I first joined the Grobbulus discord I was completely unaware of where to post links. After posting several links to several channels I was directed to the general roleplay channel. That is where I would link and post what I write.
After submitting that story there I received a ban, not with any conversation or communication about why, but just a ban for linking my roleplay in the server roleplaying channel.
As far as I know, after being informed of the rules, I adjusted my course of action and behaved appropriately by using only one channel and linking my stories only once whenever I would submit them to the forums/reddit.
Why do I keep doing this rather than just write for myself? I do it because there are people who sincerely encourage and appreciate what I do. Apart from that, I am doing this because it enhances the way I play the game, and I am able to enjoy playing because of it.
If people don’t like what I write, they do not have to read it. There are many who don’t, and there are some who do. I’m glad that some people who I interact with and write about have spoken up.

You know, that drama died over a week ago. Yet you want to keep it up. I’m not going to do that, and I don’t.
That drama is also something you are bringing into a thread that is not about it. You are literally starting something and bringing something into discussion that has no place with the OP. I’m not taking your bait.

There are a lot of RP events on Horde side and even a decent amount of walk-up interactions to be had.
I would suggest a few things:
First, the TRP addon is very useful as it lets you see who is comfortable with random RP encounters. If you spot someone else with the addon, the chances of them responding to spontaneous RP is pretty high. I have personally initiated various encounters this way as well as noticed being the target of RP encounters as a result of TRP identification.
Second, an RP-focused guild that sets up and/or attends events is big. Honestly, there are too many events for me to attend on Horde side but that means there are a lot of options. I would assume that the Alliance has a similar pool of events.
Third, I would recommend being flexible with your character and their story as being too rigid can be off-putting. It’s not always a “here’s my story, take it or leave it” situation but more of a give and take relationship–at least I think RP is more enjoyable this way and you’ll find people more receptive if you’re a bit amenable.
As a final note, I don’t think insulting other people’s reading or thinking comprehension is going to boost your reputation–the same goes for suggesting that people are too stupid to understand your literary works. Even if you feel targeted or victimized, I would take a more zen approach to criticism.

That sounds great. Cleansing the infidels from the lands is a part of the RP in Warcraft. There also is, however, the ministry to the poor, healing the sick, comforting the dying, making peace, and many more things. Awesome. I’ll send you a message in game.
