I’m seeing players from non-RP realms show up in my phase more and more often. Simply put, this should not be happening. Players from RP realms should only be placed in the same cross-realm phases as players from other RP realms. If you absolutely must have your poisonous cross realm zoning nonsense, the least you can do is ensure I’m only seeing players from other RP realms while I suffer through it.
Because you didn’t mention it:
CRZ is turned on for RP realms in all current expansion content. It’s only turned off for anything outside Zulduzar, Kul Tiras, Mechagon and Naz’jatar, with the exception of War Mode (where you’re always with other RP realms).
But I’m assuming you’re talking about older zones.
I can’t say I’ve seen any x-realmers outside of the 1-2 tourists (party > shard) in any oldworld content since the patch dropped, outside the initial few days of the main cities being CRZ’d with other RP realms.
I was seeing players from Zul’jin (PvE) in my phase in tiragarde sound.
That is 100% normal behaviour.
RP realms are subject to CRZ when in all current expansion zones.
And to make that clear: CRZ as in ALL servers on the region. War Mode is the only excepted instance where CRZ is strictly tied to other RP realms.
Replace Broken Isles/Legion for BFA and you’re right on the money.
I elected to play on RP realm, meaning I only want to see people from my realm and other RP realms. Players from non-RP realms appearing in my phase is a bug.
Your opinion conflicting with the game’s mechanical design is not a bug. You’re in a BFA zone on an RP realm, you will see non-RP players.
BFA will stop having CRZ once 9.0 hits, the same as Legion content did once BFA hit.
It’s the same shtick as the topics on Deserter - that’s how it works, no matter your personal grievances with it, and Blizzard have outlined the rules on that system 100%.
