Day 31
When I was a young lad I dreamed of venturing into Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Eventually I would, my first journey was a dangerous one. I decided to trek to Dun Morogh, see the land of the Dwarves, learn the art of Smithing.
As ambitious as I was nothing could prepare me for the trek ahead. I gathered my things, said my goodbyes to friends and family. I ventured by boat to Auberdine and then Menethil.
Menethil in the Wetlands. I had heard stories from travelers of the swamplands. The murlocs, crocolisks and Dragonmaw Orcs were just a few of the things I had been warned about. After arriving in Menethil though, it was time for a rest. So I purchased a bed at the Inn and got the best sleep I could for someone leaving home for the first time.
Much like then, it is now also time for a rest. I shall continue this story tomorrow.

If (and when) they announce an RP-PvP server, it will be the premier Classic server, much like Emerald Dream was for a number of years.
I think Blue is withholding this announcement for the server listing reveal. They’re doing a nice job with the PR…I couldn’t imagine them dropping a complete dud but not listing an RP-PvP server and having hundreds of cheesed off posters spouting negativity all over the forums near Beta launch.

Well, assuming we actually get an RP-pvp server, the EU by nature is to split, and it would most likely go tot the U.S anyway, or the English speaking side of the EU since that’s probably the safest bet. I mean how clichie is the German Rp-pvp base compared to the Brit’s Canadian United states and the rest of the English speaking parts of the world? UNLESS THOSE GERMANS are Roleplaying as The Holy Roman Empire nd, got a bro looking like Charlemagne or Prussia and got the real Otto Von Bismark, I say Nay. But who know’s what blizzard will do.

Or they’re holding off until a point where everyone is happy and distracted, before doing it. Like August 11th when they release the server list.

To clarify, what I really meant was one per region - specifically since this is the NA forum I was referring to one RP-PvP realm in NA. I would prefer one that is CST rather than two (one PST and one EST) so as to not repeat the same mistake that Blizzard made back in Vanilla - adding a bunch of RP-PvP realms when they were introduced (and thereby splitting the community) and eventually they all became dead except for Emerald Dream (resulting in many people simply quitting instead of server transferring).

That’s a bit different. I don’t even know if they have pre-1.12 code base to compare against for AV.

Please do not make excuses for them. A private server put the effort in and at least made the attempt. They have the patch notes, they no doubt have detailed change notes for each patch. They even have Nost’s code for stuff like the shredder and minefields. They also have had years to do the reversion, and have quite a few months before AV will even be in the game.
The only excuse to not do it is that they simply do not want to.

It’s possible they will be looking into this since AV won’t be available until after launch.
Perhaps they will surprise everyone with an announcement.

Anyway, RP-PVP is a server type that unites the best qualities of this game under a single, identifying banner. This thread is a signal to Blizzard that there is a community just begging for this. All we can do now is hold on to hope that they will make the right call and give us our preferred server type.

Seriously I wish to experience classic on a Rp pvp server. It would be so nice to become a part of a community that does both. Especially being a pvp junkie.
