#RP-PVP Realms, Reconsider One Realm

OCE doesn’t even get an RP realm, let alone an RP-PVP realm, in Retail…

I’ll be joining if they do an RP PVP server. I’m not an RPer but like the community.

This is true. and stupid. There was a huge oce rp community back in vanilla and there was a big oce presence on Ravenholdt through tbc and wrath as well.
We’re also pretty big on pvp.

Lots of the players that I know from the likes of silver hand and ravenholdt from back then were long gone by the time there were actually dedicated servers set up in Australia and a lot of them are coming back for classic. As I said, I don’t hold much hope, but it won’t stop me asking.

As I have said, my RP was in action. I am not someone to walk slowly and make motions but will hate the other faction. I never thought I would like Alliance but Dwarfs are special and CBH was the best. Gnomes are okay with me as well. I was always a shorty in EQ and mostly Dwarf but got sucked into Horde early on via friends.

If the right shorty or dwarf guild starts with the right times and goals, then I might try a new class as a Dwarf.

Blizz has to have a heart and come through.

Let’s learn to fly again and make that huge announcement early: A RPPvP server will be available day one (and if it PST, I can live with it). In the meanwhile, enjoy these golden pipes…

I’m here to hopefully play RP-PvP, bringing about 10 friends with myself as well to rejoin WoW for the Classic WoW experience. Please, please give us an RP-PvP realm day 1! Have 3 newbies joining, and trying to get all my friends to hop servers after launch and initial character creation will simply not work.

I always love the phrasing “In the top 13 largest”. You can tell when the number isn’t 5, 10 or 20, that it is thirteenth out of those top 13.

That said, both Moonguard and Wyrmrest Accord out perform it for the RP-PVE.

Well, they said top 13 of 100, but yeah, I get what you mean. Haha

To me, an important factor is closer A/H balance. Some servers were just so ridiculously imbalanced that I don’t see how it could be fun for either faction.

The other big point about each of the 3 top RP servers was that they were seen as a Sharding haven for many years. Because they weren’t connected realms and originally were declared as no CRZ. People moved there because of it.

RP-PVP servers (those before BfA) only had 639,569 out of the 2,721,347 characters. 23% of the Roleplaying group. And the RP group is only 10% of the total characters.

So 2.3% of the characters were on RP-PVP servers.

Imagine if they have 50 servers in North America. That justifies 1. Anything less than 44 servers and the population doesn’t justify a single server.

While I still say that they should present it as a single realm option in each region at launch, there’s a very good reason why they call it “niche”.

The wait for an answer on this is agonizing but I have a feeling it’ll all pay off in the end. Just have to be patient and bump this thread as much as necessary until we are reassured.

RP-PVP is the place to be.
