RP-PVP [Elves of the North] Rangers and Farstriders

“This lodge was a hunting lodge of the first high elves who came to these lands, but it also had a secret purpose. It stands watch over the valley at the southern border of our lands, as a first line of defense. It represents your mission, as the first line of defense for our people.

500 years ago, a group of dedicated warriors pledged themselves to the defense of the Elven kingdom in the North. Their mandate was to protect Quel’Thalas both at home, and far beyond its borders. Today, we consecrate this mission once again, with each of you. Rise up, Ranger, and become a Farstrider!”

Continuing our recruitment efforts, I wanted to highlight two of the military rank levels within the Elves of the North, our Rangers and Farstriders .

IC - The Sin’dorei Rangers themselves are a known and feared military fighting force all across Azeroth. The Farstriders are the elite among our Rangers, dedicated to the defense of the Elven kingdom both at home, and abroad. They represent the special forces of the Thalassian military, able to operate in teams or independently, to protect the interests of Silvermoon and intercept threats before they materialize.

OOC – The Ranger rank is earned when a civilian demonstrates interest and capability in WPVP. The Farstriders are the most experienced and elite PVPers among the Rangers of the Army of Silvermoon. Rangers and Farstriders engage in coordinated guild skirmishes, attacks on enemy bases, defense, recon, intel, counterinsurgency, asymmetrical warfare, and answering the defense call of elven civilians who find themselves under attack.

Requirements for all military operations, as per uniform code of the Elves of the North:

Mog : Blood Elf Heritage Armor

Mount : Any Hawkstrider

Conduct: Our Rangers and Farstriders represent a more elite warrior, and their conduct should match that expectation at all times. Disrespect, insulting/trolling, and other behavior unbecoming of the honor of the Ranger and Farstrider rank will not be tolerated.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, contact a Ranger-Captain in [Elves of the North]!

When I donned pointy ears and snuck into Silvermoon to spread the Word of Tact over 7 years ago, I saw various military detachments and units throughout the city. I have never seen a more fashionable and militarized state. The spell-breakers standing guard at the palace, with their impressive armor and dangerous weaponry certainly impart a sense of ominous danger. I certainly wouldn’t want to criticize their fashion choices!

Now, a group of elves gallivanting through the woods astride large chickens, with toy bows and arrows… That’s less intimidating than Hogger in Elwynn Forest!

Hail Tact!

I was once a Farstrider. Unfortunately they took issue with my interest in void research and kicked me out. So much for all those years of loyal service…

As the Lord Tact once said, “Never trust a person that enslaves chickens.” Tell me, blood-child, did you participate in chicken enslavement?
