[RP] Public Proclamation #117

From the desk of Public Relations & Philanthropic Contributions

Greetings, Citizens of Azeroth.

As many of you no doubt know, the last several days have been fraught with atrocities not seen since the events of the Third War. Our world is one of life and vibrancy… and conflict, of course. No one denies these things.

The Horde and Alliance have long been at odds. The philanthropic organization No Mercy Mafia recognizes this as a fact of life. Conflict is par for the course, and this world is one that thrives on it.

But Undeath is a threat to us all. And so, at hearing that our eternal enemies in Orgrimmar were beset by the same Zombie Plague that ravages the streets of Stormwind even now… The Mafia did not falter.

Certainly, The Mafia could have kept our philanthropic contributions contained to within the Alliance. Certainly, one might assume that having gained the moniker of ‘No Mercy’, we would not be inclined to help our mortal enemies.

This is the thinking of ignoramuses and selfish cowards. No Mercy Mafia recognizes the threat of Undeath as an existential threat to ALL life on Azeroth.

And so, on this evening of September 10th, 2022, No Mercy Mafia sent its Public Relations & Philanthropic Contributions Team into the savage city of Orgrimmar. Not to attack the Horde, no… to help the Horde. The Mafia recognized a need for a cleansing, for the Plague of Undeath was running rampant through the streets of Orgrimmar.

I am proud to be able to announce that the mission was a total success. No Horde infected with the Zombie Plague remained upon The Mafia’s departure from the city. We have this anecdote from one of our newest Associates to share with you now.

“Undeath is a disease. And it ran deep through the streets of Orgrimmar. But thanks to The Mafia, we were able to deal a mortal blow to the Zombie Plague on this day. I can only hope that such actions do not go unnoticed by the Horde. Without us, they would all still be suffering.” ~ Associate Urivial Beckett

Indeed they would, Associate. Indeed they would. Alas, even if the Zombie Plague can be quelled, the Horde still suffers under the yoke of Undeath. Not only do they allow the rotted and decrepit ‘race’ the Forsaken into their ranks, their most recent inclusion of Death Knights is cause for great concern within The Mafia.

It is our hope that by leading by example, we in The Mafia can show the Horde a better way… even as they remain our eternal enemies.

For now though, we are united in common cause. Down with Undeath! Down with the Scourge! Down with the Lich King!

Sincerely, The Office of Public Relations & Philanthropic Contributions

Huntress Mhortaì reads over the document from Public Relations & Philanthropic Contributions. She makes sure to read over everything carefully to not miss anything important. When she finishes she has one minor disagreement, which she says out loud as though someone was listening.

“My disagreement may be a minor one in the eyes of some, but I know I didn’t set foot into that rat’s nest of a city to help any Horde. I have no faith in them containing the Zombie plague themselves. No my only objective was to do what was need be done to benefit the Alliance and keep them safe from the evil the Lich King has let loose.”

She sits back and slowly pets her saber companion, who has a confused look on her face since it is only the two of them currently. But the saber settles in and enjoys the attention none the less.
