Come one, come all!

Event Summary

The Stonelight Rest Inn was beautifully decorated for Winter Veil, with trees lit by candles and festive wreaths adorning the walls. Bards played familiar carols as bartenders served drinks, and servers offered platters of fruit, bread, and cheese. Later, the music shifted to tribal rhythms and the melodies of An’she, the Sun, before transitioning to a Thalassian piece honoring the Eternal Sun.

Axiann Sungazer of the Sunreavers, hosts of the event, raised his goblet, drawing attention to the room. He spoke of their shared hardships and the strength they found in each other. He honored their traditions and encouraged everyone to enjoy the feast, celebrating those lost and cherishing those still with them. “Happy Winter Veil to all,” he said with a smile, raising his glass.

Axiann announced the first game: a snowball fight. Participants gathered in a circle, ready to aim, dodge, and score points. Laughter filled the room as snowballs flew, with the winners earning bragging rights for the night. It was a playful way to embrace the spirit of Winter Veil. Then they played a game called “Musical Stockings”, with participants walking away with ‘presents’, some much better than others.

The bards resumed playing lively melodies as servers brought out a feast of meats and vegetables. Guests filled their plates, and the room buzzed with conversation and laughter. The warmth of the food and drink, combined with the music, made everyone forget the world outside for a short while.

Axiann invited everyone to share their own Winter Veil traditions. He spoke of honoring the Eternal Sun and its warmth, even in the darkest times. Guests from all cultures shared their customs, creating a heartfelt moment of unity. Axiann closed with gratitude, wishing peace and warmth to all.

A BIG thank you to all those who came out and made this solstice special!
