Warded by Shadow, below the eternal Northern sky, and above the bloodsoaked soil beyond the Thandol Span the peers and commoners alike of the nation of Lordaeron still stand. Our nation exists as a monument to our will and our dedication. Our nation still holds its own sovereignty as a temple raised in supplication to our sacrifice and our determination. Those that attempted to rob us of the fruits of our endless toil now stock crypt and barrow across our homeland; these tombs serve thieves here as an epitaph. Unbound by tyrants, unrestrained by cowardice, unimpeded by fatigue, unconcerned by mortality Lordaeron exists within the outstretched hands of her people. Those who wish to debate this with blade and spell will defend it with the same for we do not abide debts unpaid.
We declare this not as a petty threat or the self-indulgent peacock preening that so shackles the energies of younger courts in the gentler Southern realms, swaddled as they are in their balmy sunlit glades and fruit perfumed orchards. We instead invite these courts to savor the Shadowâs gifts and the Lightâs beneficence by doing both the honor of remaining to reap the spoils of this celestial kindness. We have no need to pluck the apples from the maws of the peasants of Elwynn Forest, nor have we motive to rip the picks from the hands of Ironforgeâs miners. Hence we call forth from beyond Ruined Wall, and Shattered Span to those who call these honor privileged realms home and humbly beseech them to engage us with ink and parchment, with word and verse so that we might avoid the travesty that the cold winds of the North desiccating their genteel and esteemed hills and dales, peaks and valleys would be.
Our queen weeps for the suffering of the innocent, prays for mercy unto the merciful. So too do the people of Lordaeron desire not but the right to exist within that which they exist by right. Shadows guide you, light bless you, spirits protect you.
