[RP] Battle of the Thalassian Pass

The Alliance conquered the Eastern Plaguelands with relative ease, not due to lack of resolve from the elves of Quel’thalas, but from their massive numerical advantage. Finally, the time came for the Alliance to attack the Thalassian Pass. This pass is one of Quel’thalas’ best defensive features, it is rather narrow, has a stronghold, and is the only way to enter Quel’thalas by land due to the mountain range around it. A plan was made by leaders of Horde guilds and the military of Quel’thalas, a plan that would allow the pass to fall, but in the process decimate much of the Alliance’s forces, letting what remains starve in the inhospitable Ghostlands.

It begun with the initial siege, Quel’thalas had it’s siege engines on the surrounding mountains. As the Alliance put all it’s firepower at breaking the gate, they were bombarded with a rain of siege fire. The siege tower the Alliance brought was quickly sabotaged by the best Farstriders the Thalassian military had to offer. Eventually, the gates did fall, and then the next part of the strategy came into play. A giant hole was dug overnight, just north of the stronghold, filled with mud. The Alliance trudged through it, while doing so being bombarded with rain of many types of deadly magic, eventually, many alliance were crammed in, and almost reached the end. At this point, a goblin part of the Blademasters of Durotar pressed a red button, and BOOM! First mud, then dust and smoke, then severed limbs, heads even, came flying out of that hole.

The Alliance commander was then roused, a powerful death knight by the name of Jordrend Falksteed. He had a plan should his living armies fall, he called the remaining living soldiers back, and in it’s place, came a massive army of feral scourge from the plaguelands he took control of. The strategy did prepare for this, and with the undead, came the riders of the Argent Dawn, who promised they would fight feral scourge. The Worgen death knight wanted some smaller combat, he pulled in the Horde generals for a fight. It was back and forth, with the death knight and the Horde generals dealing effective blows, but eventually, Jordrend fell. The undead army was defeated by the Argent Dawn. The battle was won, to an extent. They still abandoned the pass, but the Alliance that was left would starve in the Ghostlands, and they had captured an Alliance military leader.
