Rotations feel like playing piano

everytime i start to do my rotation really well, i feel like i’m not playing a video game… i feel like i’m playing a piano. constantly having to dance my fingers across the keyboard to hit the right keys, to defeat enemies.

(wait a second… is that why keyboards are called ‘key’ boards? cause of the similarity to piano keys? …woah.)

what am i trying to say with this thread? …i dunno. something about rotations feeling too complex at higher level. but i got a little lost with my keyboard-thinking.

Have you actually learned how to play piano?

You haven’t played piano i’d assume

I can’t take this thread serious with OP posting on a Hunter.

i did a long time ago when i was a kid.

gave it up cause it was just tedious, and i had video-games to play.

not trolling btw. it might seem like i’m trolling but i’m serious about the rotations… and the keyboard epiphany i had.

Maybe you just need an easier class then. Have you tried hunter?

i don’t understand, your picking-on my point because i’m on my hunter?

i don’t understand, what’s the relevance? JUST cause i’m playing a hunter? i still i have to mash 2, 4, 4, 3, 1, 2, 1, 1, 4, 2, 4, 4, 4 (proc), 2, 1, 3, on my keyboard just to kill something. i mean, that’s pretty piano-like last time a checked.

every classes rotation is too complex and piano-recital-y, not just mine (though arguably, hunters do have it a little easier cause of the pet-tank). granted, other classes usually throw in more 5s, 6s, 7s and 8s into their rotation, but that’s not the point i’m trying to make.

There’s always classic Frost Mage if you need something less complex.

I would take you more seriously if you compared yourself to a typist rather than a pianist.

You listed 4 buttons.

i’d definitely would have done that if our rotations require the the whole keyboard, but since the majority of our rotations are on the number keys, i think pianist is a better example.

it’s not about how many buttons, it’s about how often you press them.

They both have a bunch of keys…laid out on a…board…

Same

Because hunter is widely recognized as the simplest class in the game. Its recommended every time someone asks for a class easy enough for complete noobs.

But a couple of them had to be pushed more than once… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

It feels more like playing a Hurdy-Gurdy

And yes, I can actually play one, believe it or not.

LOL,wish it would play like a piano including the music<would be a good idea :grinning:

ifu can’t deal with hunter then there’s no hope for you sadly also the piano is easy lol

i’m not complaining about playing a hunter. i’m complaining about rotations- alright, that’s it. i’m out of this thread. you all can keep bringing up my class as if it’s relevant to what i’m trying to say, i’m gettin out of here.

people here really saying piano is hard to learn lol.

No, it’s because all the buttons are referred to as keys.

I think the issue is you said it was complex, but it sounds like you have a problem with how frequently you must press buttons. I don’t know how every class plays in Dragon Flight, but there might be someone that could recommend a class/spec that’s more laidback and not forced to press something every second.

Maybe one of the casters?
