Rotation with wild spirits?

Should I be trying to activate wild spirits as marksman or continue my normal rotation with it?

No clue with MM, but my BM rotation is: Bestial wrath, Wild spirits, Barrage, barbed shot, multi-shot (for cleave), cobra shot, murder of crows, Kill shot. Works great for AOE burning.

What exactly is the question here?

I guess my question is, do i still prioritize aimed shot, or do i prioritize casting things like multi-shot since that will proc wild spirits more?

Neither procs more. Every attack procs WS, how many it hits depends on how many are in the circle, up to 5. So your aoe rotation shouldn’t change whether WS is up or not. MS > Aimed > MS > Aimed.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

normal rotation <3

shrugs it works, as long as I don’t happen to pull an elite or something, the second half works for boss/world elite 1v1s but it does take a bit since it’s an AOE centered rotation.

Aimed Shot procs Wild Spirits twice if you’re wearing Serpenstalker’s Trickery (which you should anyway). So you get the most procs by using Trueshot together with Wild Spirits and getting as many Aimed Shots as possible.

Abilities that hit more than once only proc wild spirits once. If you attack with multi-shot and hit 4 things standing in the circle, WS only procs once. If you attack with rapid fire and hit the same target 10 times, WS only procs once. If you attack with Aimed Shot or Rapid fire after getting a Trick Shot proc, and hit 4 different things in the circle, WS only procs once. If you cast crows on a target in the circle, WS only procs once. Same thing with any other damage over time effect.

If you’re using Niya as your soulbind, I’d suggest casting Wild Spirits first. It gives you 16 stacks of Redirected Anima, which is 400 extra mastery as you start your burst rotation.

Neither, you should be doing your Trueshot rotation, as they are both 2 min CDs and should always be used together.

If you are running Double Tap, use it before Wild Spirits, early is fine provided it won’t fall off before the first Aimed Shot. If you are running Explosive Shot, use it the GCD immediately before Wild Spirits, that way it triggers during Wild Spirits (and procs the burst) but doesn’t waste a GCD of the uptime. If you are running Volley, use it the GCD after Wild Spirits and immediately before Trueshot+Aimed Shot.

Other than that, the rotation is Wild Spirits > Trueshot+Aimed Shot>Rapid Fire>Aimed Shot>AiS/RF as available, AS/MS to fill GCDs provided you don’t overspend and be unable to use AiS.

Maximizing Aimed Shots is particularly important if you are running Serpentstalker’s Trickery (as the free Serpent Sting gives a second WS proc), but you should generally follow the same priority if you are running Surging Shots.
