Rotation addons

Does anyone here use rotation addons for DKs? Any recommendations that actually work for frost or unholy ? I know how to play one but sometimes it’s nice not to focus on what to press next and instead focus on content.

Not sure if it will help you much. But I find “Compact Runes” to be a pretty helpful addon. It’s main thing is a display timer for rune regeneration. But it also has customizable countdown bars for all our dots, CDs, festering wounds, etc. It won’t play your class for you, but it does provide a very helpful visual to smooth out your rotation so you can time your abilities better.

There’s other rune add-ons too, but I find the simplistic nature of Compact Runes good enough for me.

Try DH class. It’s only 3 buttons. DK is like 4. But still one button less.

I was using one called “ConRo” that has plugins for every class, but I’ve noticed it has some weird spikes that are affecting my computer when I use it.

I recommend it though. Helped my DPS immensely.

hero rotation. i mostly use it for the cd and trinket tracking, but works great.

You will be better of setting up weak auras to tell you when abilities come off Cooldown and Proc. Frost especially is very Proc dependent with very little to remember mechanically.

not sure. i’ve never tried the one you mentioned. the prepatch has screwed up addons right now though so it’ll take a bit for the authors to update them.

weak auras are great as well- i use them for raiding and specifics to track.

In legion I really liked TellMeWhen, its works pretty similar to WeakAuras.
I dont remember who it was but they had a setup for TMW for every class but I don’t know if they still update them or not.

Thanks ya I’m testing out some sick weak aura packages and they work well for tracking procs and cooldowns. Hitting 3.3 k Dps on dummies. No clue if that’s decent or not for ilvl 116. I should run a couple raids.

I highly recommend checking out Luxthos’ weakaura. The updated ones just came up a week ago and it’s awesome.
