I feel like rotcomp will be the new RMX only much more miserable to play vs.
With all the conduits/soulbinds and leggos hitting the scene I imagine it like queing into arena and having a vat of acid in the form of 1000 dots dumped on you and your partners.

as a MW i enjoy healing against it. counteract magic makes my renewing mist like 35% of my healing in those matches
in some match ups it’ll probably be pretty annoying
i think mw cleaves and mm teams will likely do really well into sp and aff teams
frost aff mlx could maybe? make some cleaves struggle
but mm/x (sp/war/feral/ret/rogue/dk) all seem really solid
rmx will once again be dominant
rps/d will likely be t1

i haven’t played a ton of beta super recently but as far as i’ve kept up seems more diverse than s2/3/4 of bfa

Lets not act like they don’t have really hard counters especially with burst being so high. Rot comps don’t do well in really fast Meta’s especially when their natural enemies are so strong.
the problem is, the rot is very bursty from spriest and affliction. shadow can pump out tons of bust that’s all instant, and if you get caught out without a way to stop a lock spamming malefic rapture or whatever it’s called you will get chunked. It’s only a rot comp if you’re sitting behind a pillar, otherwise you might as well be taking gpies to the face the whole game.
Rot on beta is very good.
Spriest is honestly s tier right now and afflock is extremely potent

Affliction is squishy tho they die in 2 setups if left unchanged. But that death bolt thingy majigure is op
In that case, I would say its super convenient to kill the warlock. Aff dies faster than you can blink if its just standing there casting and the only way it can really “pump” is by hard casting frequently. Killing an sp will be a nightmare in SL if DP healing doesn’t get nerfed.
Rot comps are super fun to play in fast metas and super satisfying. I prefer fast metas where rot isn’t as good and dampen, but instead delay gos and win in 5mins max vs 10-15mins.
This…this is where you lost just about everyone. Rot dmg not only is bad for the game but it’s not even PvP combat. Not sure how applying Dots or Dot dmg is fun maybe I have to talk to the brilliant mind of an Assassination rogue or someone to explain it.
