Although im still seeing people claim ‘‘rose tinted glasses’’ im amazed that they are STILL trying to claim this even now. i believe we are past that point. Yes its only been almost a week but im enjoying classic immensely more than retail. I still play both although recently started retail also after a few years. most my time since release will remain classic.

Sure there are elements that give that “rose tinted” nostalgic feeling, but that’s beyond the full picture.
I look forward to what the game can be, rather than what the game was. I know what’s ahead of me, and it’s a game I won’t be putting down for a very long time.
People like different things.
Certain individuals are not very bright, and do not understand this exceedingly simple concept.
Ignore them and move on.

The rose tinted glasses thing is more towards the thought that Vanilla was the greatest game ever made aspect.
Vanilla/Classic are fun and special in their own way.
Oh right. Yes, if anyone is making THAT claim, I want some of what they’re smoking.

I agree with OP, but the true test will come with Retail’s next shiny new expansion. Who will stay then? I definitely will be staying.

Coming from a person who never played vanilla wow, the first time i came, i had so much fun and made it my main game for 2 years on “unannounced servers”. so i believe the rose tinted glasses conspiracy has come to an end.

“Make WoW great again” is just another sad reality for the people who want to, but can’t really go back in time. If you weren’t there you’ll never know what we really had.
First time I logged on to a vanilla private server I had nostalgia remembering and seeing all the things i forgot about.
But nostalgia isn’t what kept me playing and leveling 5 characters to 60.
