So I have my 2 raiding Toons squared away, where I have to MT/RL…on horde side
So I am looking to roll a PvP toon on alliance, and from doing some research it looks like grobbulus has decently even population and from what I am told, active PvP guilds on both sides.
SO… looking for a PvP focused guild, WPVP for now, but looking to do dedicated BG’s when they come out. and maybe even looking at doing some twinking.
Willing to roll my class as guild needs dictate.
If you have no intent to role play please consider rolling on a pure PvP server instead. There are very limited number of RP-PvP servers and we would like our server to not be overly populated with PvP-Bros.

I am confused, I have done a lot of role play in my day. And in classic, there is a war going on. Would role play not encompass PvP in this situation?
And if you do not want PvP, why roll RP-PvP when there are normal RP servers?
Red is dead is a role playing mechanic. Basically stating if you are playing a role that is at war, it is your duty to attack when you see someone from the Opposing faction. I don’t know what other “roles” there are to play in Wow, unless your trying to RP a different timeline where there is no war? which seems unlikely…
You made zero mention of coming to this server to role play. Your original post showed no interest in that avenue. The notion that you expect me, or us, to know your life story and that you have supposedly role played before is laughable. PvPing does not equate to role play. I am not even going to get into the specifics as your counter argument is so juvenile in the understanding of what role play is that I would have to invest more than 10 minutes of my life to explain it to you. In short it is very probable that you are one of those PvP-Bros that would get your pvp kicks at another server without ruining the RP culture here.

I have the name durzoblint on a gnome rogue, if anyone recognizes the name from literature, they could probably guess a good portion of the back story I have in mind for him.
But I am not going to fully choose my race/class until I find a guild… because I do not want to roll rogue, and end up being in guild full of rogues.
Why do people think making assumptions is a bad thing? (Inb4 the asinine remark of “you know what they say about people who make assumptions. Hur hur hur…”) Everyone does this, inteligent creatures see patterns and predict outcomes.
You provided specific data and ignored other data that should be just as important when you choose to roll on a RP-PvP server. The choice of not including that data was alerted to you politely to inform you that you failed to provide this data. This was to ensure you get the playstyle you want while this server gets to keep the playstyle it is intended for.
You make a thread about wanting to PvP and do not mention one thing about RP. You then make a base statment that is so far off base about what role play actually is that I would have to expend more energy than I am willing to commit to get you up to speed. (Ie: you are a lost cause in that regard)

Cool. Crimson Dawn is a PvP focused guild that does WPvP and they also contribute to the RP community. Warbringer is similar in that regard.
I plan on hitting low level brackets hard myself so if you’re interested in all those things, you should try either of those guilds.
BTW, as for the harsh welcome in the thread… Emerald Dream simply had too many PvP Bros that had zero interest in the RP community come to water down the server. So, if someone fails to mention RP in their post, some people can get twitchy.

Please roll Horde (specifically Tauren if possible).
Male Tauren have a great death animation and make a hilarious noise when you kill them.
Alternatively, if your going to roll something like Forsaken Rogue or Warrior, then please roll Fem Forsaken as there are already tons of Ulta Lame Male Forsaken getting piled up in dumpsters on Grobb.
Fem Forsaken as less common and have superior animations anyways (honestly not even a discussion).
Ever watch a female Forsaken rogue sprint at something? It’s really terrifying.
yes I made a thread about wanting PvP… and I did this on a forum for an RP server… one would think the assumption would be since I am talking about joining an RP server. I am also interested in that aspect…
If I was not, I would have chosen incendius. As they boast a mostly even population and good community.

My role as a member of the alliance, Given by a direct order from the king…GO KILL HORDE.
They even put in a system to reward players for doing it.

I disagree. They, and other members of the RP community, are what makes RP-PvP servers great.
PvP Bros are largely parasites that water down the community. The less PvP Bros, the better the server.
nah the rp elitist are the parasites, who believe theyre entitled to have a say as to who comes and goes on to the server and what people should or shouldnt be doing.
makes griefing rp that much enjoyable when i do.
