Rollbacks?

Its kinda sad how the only time they’ll roll back the servers is when it effects a guild full of famous streamers who directly bring exposure and funds to the game. That streamer privilege is absolutely insane. And before you go onto say they’re reviving everyone, I know. The only reason they’re doing that is bc of OF. We know in the past in retail that the 1% of players were always the ones catered to now its seeping into classic WoW. Wild XD

It doesn’t seem like they are rolling them back and rather manually ressing all the characters instead, it seems blizzard really really doesn’t wish to rollback anything ever, maybe they can’t?

The servers were ddosed by outside members. This isnt just a “part of the game experience and a risk you take when playing hardcore.” Not sure how this is a bad thing. Its not like a random bad thing happened to a subset of streamer players within OF and they are crying to get their characters revived. This was a server wide thing. Im pretty sure if blizzard had some kinda of random outage that was unplanned or unscheduled theyd do the same. but if you decided to raid MC minutes before a weekly maintenance and died because of it they probably would not

the amount of issues an actual rollback would create would be staggering. Just consider this… You are in a raid. You just kill flamegor… You loot and see a DFT. They give you the DFT. The next day the server gets rolled back because sodapoppin cried like a little B all over twitch… You log in and see your DFT is gone as if it never existed. Someone might get shot…

I remember not that long ago a Blue post where they said they don’t have the ability to rollback a server.

That seems hard to believe though.

Our servers don’t really work like that. There isn’t really an option to roll back specific characters or really even a realm. While I won’t speak for our Game Developers, but generally speaking when exploitation happens there usually is a follow up investigation. There usually won’t be any communication on what may happen until after that investigation is completed

The blue post doesn’t mention streamers. Just says players that died as a result of the DDoS, so it should be anyone.

blizzard always tell lies and break promises anyway.
and the only people they care about are streamers and heavy spenders, they make the games around/for them.
