Roll-Back Pre-Patch and Delay War Within Launch

Having difficulty staying logged into the game for even five minutes without it crashing. This is the worst release I have ever seen from Blizzard and the lack of communication about what they are doing to resolve the critical issues is pathetic. The pre-patch should be rolled back and launch of the War Within delayed until they get the critical crash issues resolved. I’ve tried all the recommended work-arounds I’ve found on the forums and none have made any improvement.

That’s a you issue.

Been fine all pre patch.

WOuld recommend updating addons than turning them all off. Then turn them on one at a time till you find out whats causing your issue.

Have to agree. Save for lag within that first week; I haven’t had any issues at all and certainly no issues with disconnects. :woman_shrugging::woman_shrugging:

I play on a soviet era laptop and I haven’t had any problems with crashes or disconnects.

To the OP: Don’t bother posting in general. You will only be met with hostility. I’m not sure when the forums turned to a competition rather than a discussion, but it’s the norm.

PS: There is an open bug report for a memory leak being experienced by quite a few.

To all:
There are quite a few high severity bugs in this pre-launch that could make anyone experiencing them second guess the launch readiness.

If you have not:

A: had half to all of your guild/personal bank contents disappear today.

B: had random items disappear from warbank

B: deleted your main due to a bug that deleted not the selected, but the first in favorites (restore is still disabled) and are working through a support ticket to get a restore.

C: had your guild bank gold locked away.

D: needed to transfer currency (feature is disabled)

E: started getting random frequent memory leak crash to desktop starting this last patch.

F: had to work around the multitude of RECENTLY BROKEN character abilities/talents and ingame content (quests, instances, rep, achievements…

Consider yourself lucky. I sincerely hope you are in the majority.

Understand that there are some really devastating issues out there for players right now. Issues that are severe enough that you would expect Blizzard to acknowledge.

No, DF sucks so bad and it is the worst expansion to date. Get me out of here please.

No, it doesn’t need to be delayed. If you can’t stay logged in and others can, it sounds like the issue is your own.

So far I’ve been able to avoid such issues (knock on wood). I feel really sorry for people having to go through them. Honestly it’s unacceptable. Warband transfer doesn’t even work right, more and more bugs being introduced with every ‘fix.’ People not even bothering to stay on to play much, not that I blame them. This is honestly the lowest point I’ve ever seen this game. They should delay but they won’t. For a new xpac of this ‘quality’ the cost should be hovering around $20 if that.

Aside from having 1/5 my personal gbank disappear and turn into looking like swiss cheese, problems have been minimal.

I did also lose a ton of old world enchanting mats on a warlock’s personal reagent bank at the start of prepatch, but I been meaning to destroy those just didnt want to type delete on each purple stack so that problem solved itself.

This is clearly your end

It’s not a”you” problem this last patch has introduced a memory leak for some people. Tying up 1gig of ram per minute leading to a low memory critical error crash to desktop.

Bug report forum is full of issues like another poster stated. Missing GB items, deleting a highlighted char and it deleting first char in selection screen instead etc…

agreed. and i would get perma banned if i had to tell them all what they really were.

but there are many many many people that are having his same issue with crashing. and pops ups regarding memory when most people’s memory usage is sub 40% ever since the patch.

2 things that i have found out to work for just about everyone so far are:

  1. disabling addons until they can be further updated cause the current updates are interfering with the game for whatever reason.

  2. go to Options > Graphics. Scroll to bottom and disable / uncheck “Advance Work Submit”

this has work for me, my wifes pc, many of my guildies and thousands of people that are on various forums where i found out.

did this 2 days ago and never crashed again. before this was crashing every 5-10-15mins.

I am not experiencing this problem.

Memeory used on wow right now is 15 GB from my GPU and 15 GB of RAM

It’s basically a game to people to bad faith put words into each other’s mouths and flamebait. Or simply just take opposing sides and spam with a “just you problem” type remarks or mischaracterize someone to demean to “win” at online arguments.

There’s dozens of sockpuppets like that with thousands of posts in and moderators are unaware.

Oh and btw: Fun fact there’s a forum discord where people trash those on here and target them for fun. They keep it off the forums so they don’t get actioned. Some even have multiple bnets to carry this garbage.

Delaying an expansion launch wouldn’t help a memory leak issue. The only thing you can do is wait for a patch to address it.

I got two new memory sticks and a new gpu. Game works fine now. Had about of those issues before.

There’s a widely reported memory leak issue that blizz introduced in the last couple patches. It’s all over the bug and tech support forums. So far blizz has refused to address it however. Anyone refusing to acknowledge it is just trolling at this point.

That being said, I wouldn’t say it calls for delaying the expac. Blizz just needs to officially make it known it is aware of the issue and is working on a fix ASAP.

With it being not that far off the chances of them changing things for release at this point, are slim to none.

Even if,and that’s a really big if,there would be an increase on top of increase of demand for full refunds(not like the current added 1 day of game time).
