Not many people know all the lore. I suspect many folks find a race or subject they’re interested in and get really knowledgeable about that. So I wouldn’t worry too much about being 100% about lore when it comes to RP. Folks will correct you, sure, but you learn new stuff everyday.

I moved one character when I first switched to an RP server and then spent another several years slowly moving everyone else because I ended up loving the server culture so much.
