Roleplay servers must observe code of conduct

Suspensions rarely if ever happen the same day you’re handed the punishment.

Think back to what you did or said about a week to a month ago.

When all the text in a post is bold, NONE of the text in a post is bold!

Very true. If it was from chat reports it should have been a squelch first.

Rarely does it go instantly to a ban. Bans are usually for something you did in the past that they have had time to review

Are you serious? Pretty sure language flagging is more likely to be instantaneous and automated, totally possible the game flagged the language and figured the player can appeal the ban. The restrictions on language from tech companies is absurd these days I can’t even post an alternate word for poop on these forums because of automated language policing, I’d be surprised if it’s not the same in game.

I mean other than calling us stupid, I don’t see the problem.

So what’s the point of the profanity filter?

I gave the examples they sent me, how do you like them apples? you can get banned for roleplaying now.

I am deeply offended!

It has no point. The profanity filter’s existance doesn’t give you free reign to say anything you want.

Lets start the timer for someone linking the blue post saying that, because its only a matter of time

Well, you swore in it.

That tool doesn’t necessarily work every time, and it gives some of the reported lines. They look at the logs around when the reports happen, which could also be an inappropriate RP profile. Nobody here can do anything, if you want to appeal you should do that. If you want to complain about an account action you recieved, I think that’s against CoC.

captain america is standing in the woods with the words `` here we go again '' written on the screen .

This has been explained ad nauseum on these forums.

It exists, so when people turn it off and then use profanity, they then come to the forums to ask why they were actioned for using foul language.

It exists as a second layer of “protection” for parents, or those who don’t want to see it. Because despite people agreeing to the rules, some can’t seem to follow what they agreed to.

Here is a 2006 example of a Blue answering the same question.

It should give you free rein to use standard adult language if you opted in at least.
