So I finally get connected and click on Roleplay only to get the error message " No realms are currently available"
Managed to get in to the Normal Realm and create one there and check the rulesets to see all 4 available. Normal, PVP and RP-PVP work fine, just not RP PVE apparently.
Having this same issue. Role-Play (the RP-PvE ruleset) is the only ruleset i can’t create a character on, go figure it’s the one I want to play.

Yep. Normal, PVP, and RP-PVP are also sometimes having the “No Realms are currently available” error, but only the Roleplay Ruleset has not let me log in at all since the supposed launch of Name Reservations (hour and 45 minutes ago).
Same. Almost an hour after opening up and I get the message “No realms are currently available” when selecting Roleplay ruleset. And no communication from Blizzard.
I can’t get into any of the rulesets, I have tried at least 50 times. It’s very frustrating because I feel like the name I want is going to get taken
I had excited and come back in and now I get the “No Realms Available” error for Normal, PVP and RP. RP-PVP is only available to select if you get past this Ruleset selection screen.
As long as you reserved your name in the right region, it doesn’t matter which ruleset the name is in. You just have to wait until they fix RP ruleset and then move your name over (e.g. delete name + create new char on RP ruleset during off-peak hours).
So you guys probably got in by now but when I was changing rulesets I would get the msg even though the ruleset was selected (which meant I was actually in that ruleset).
I was not able to connect to rp-pve, gave up after 2hrs. “No realms available”

I am unable to get Connect as well. I’ve tried reinstalling, scan and repair, task manager resets. Same issue of “No Realms Available.” Yet a friend of mine can still log on and make new character name reservations just fine.
I can access to all rules set BUT RP, which is the only form of game i want. And of course, is also the most overlooked niche by blizzard, might as well remove the RPG description from WoW at this point.
Just reserve your name on PvE and transfer it to RP later during off-peak hours.
2.5 hours in, and I have not been able to connect to the RP sever yet. Others in my guild were able to earlier, so it was up for awhile at least.
I may just be unlucky, will being trying off and on until I can get in, but I was wondering if anyone else got into RP recently?
I didn’t ever get past it. I created a toon on the normal server only to see if it would at least work there. From what I read here is that getting the name on any of the servers at least secures it for me when the RP servers eventually work
OKAY here’s what fixed it for me. I came back after an hour and could not get into the RP ruleset still until I went into the Normal ruleset, closed the character creation, clicked on rulesets, and then it loaded the correct rulesets including RPPVP. Then when I chose Role Playing ruleset it worked first try.
Yeah the RP realms just straight up not working Thank you blizzard. Good job guys.
The RP PVP always worked for me, just not the RP PVE
