Think about it.
Melee DPS: -50% duration all slows and snares
Magic DPS: Precognition
Ranged DPS: idk tbh
Healers: -% CC duration and Precog (we need our training wheels)
Tanks: +% damage taken (yes you read this right)
I feel like the meta gems are kind of an attempt at this but making it official would be interesting

I think something they could attempt to do to sway really uneven shuffle lobbies would be an against the odds buff.
Outnumbered melee in lobby- X% duration slow/snare and increase health by X% and reduce damage taken by X%
Outnumbered Ranged in lobby- Reduce damage taken by X% and reduce duration of subsequent interrupts by X% and increase health by X%-
Whatever numbers help make it not absolutely miserable for player. IE warlock into triple melee or melee into triple caster.
Not that its needed and its just a re-que angle if ur the warlock punching back or melee punching bag but meh for shuffle why not.
I think Iād just be happy with consistent and good tuning XD

The problem with such a solution is that it helps/hinders different specs disproportionately.
For example, 50% on all slows means much for some melees that have few movement abilities (enhance) and nothing for others.
It would be best to just have PVP set bonuses again so they can tweak spec by spec, not only in terms of damage, but in terms of utility etc.
but a lot of melee caster comps beat double wizard or double melee comps
