nah, rogues being good at anything is a giant meme. The best open world ganker class is hunter and druid cause u can actually chase ppl down. Rogue is actually such a bad class in classic its hilarious when ppl think its good or something, if you think rogue is OP or good, it is a sure sign you are a bad player.
Idk I kill most things on my rogue in world pvp but he’s only level 42. Pretty easy to stun lock someone
Depends on what you mean by overrated.
Rogues are a pretty good 1v1 class with all their important cd’s up. Not as great in big group fights. If you are leveling combat your also going to struggle with most mages you run across as they are likely frost speced and can double block, shield, nova, etc.
Rofl. I mean it depends on how skilled the Rogue player is, if you aren’t good you will have a hard time.
Mages are also very player oriented, the Rogue vs Mage match up can really go either way depneding on players, resists, professions, and cooldowns.
If you aren’t on a Mage though and you have no cds? Enjoy being kited for eternity.
Rogues are strong but not as good as people thought they were in vanilla. Rogues are good at killing noobs so back in the day, they did really well. But pretty much every class in the game has a spec that does well vs rogues.
Strange, I just walk up and Ambush the mage. They seem dead. Should I poke it more?

You should reroll. We are in the worst patch of all Vanilla for rogues and it’s only going to get worse as more phases come out. There is a reason Blizzard added so much cool stuff to their class for BC and arenas.
Rogues aren’t bad but they are deff overrated to the uninformed classic player.
The actual game is nothing like ‘World of Roguecraft’
The power of the rogue is not that you can win every fight or even most fights.
It is that you can choose fights you know you will win, and avoid those you know you will lose.
The better your gear and personal skill, the larger the pool of winnable fights is.
