The deadly brew rune has been updated.
Grants several improvements to your poisons:
When you inflict any other poison on a target, you also inflict Deadly Poison.
If your weapon does not have a poison applied, it has a chance to trigger Instant Poison as if Instant Poison were applied.
Deadly Poison and Instant Poison now gain increased damage from your Attack Power.
INSANE
(I am saying this is a good change.)

Not a problem at all. Its gonna be sick playing Mut rogue and never having to worry about poisons on your weapons.

I mean you do have to choose that 1 to be fair here’s a question though A lot of the abilities i’ve seen for rogue seems to be built along.
The idea that poisons Don’t have charges Which is true in tbc and wrath but In classic they do.
I mean, are you guys worried you’re gonna be in the middle of a fight? And you’re gonna go oh crud I have to reapplain my poisons repeatedly ?
I mean, I’m not a rogue player, but I’m looking at the ruins and I’m going. Wow, that would really suck.
If I would just run out of poisons so fast. And i’m just going to fly through them Honest question ?

Yeah this is a really good change. I was gonna forego the poison build simply because using envenom was a sure way to dump all your remaining poison charges.

Where are people seeing this??
Go to the wowhead talent calc and read the new description for Deadly Brew.
Ya That’s what I’m saying I mean it’s kind of odd. I haven’t seen any rogues make a post about this but.
Especially if you’re going to be using in venom and all these others ummm How come no one’s mentioned Can we make poisons into a buff that just last an hour instead of charges ?
kind of feels like that’s going to be really bad I mean again. I played a rogue back in vanilla and I played it back wrath but I don’t really play It now. But kind of feels like that would be really bad.
So in other words, Blizzard has just removed Gouge and Blind from the game completely.

Plz a rune to make my combo points stick to me and not my target
Or just change that for all I care

Only if you take the Deadly Brew rune, which is completely optional?

That’s legitimately heartening news, because it is taking what the rune and the new finisher interact with and making it COMPLETELY usable in classic. Having to reapply 3 times in a 5 minute fight would’ve been well beyond annoying.
Pretty elegant fix too, tbh. The rune is basically a permanent instant + deadly poison.
Hopefully they do the same pass on flanking strike

I mean its all happening in real time. I bet reddit probably has some posts about it. Also, a lot of people are probably not paying attention to anything tonight because its launch tomorrow.
Yeah, that is fair. I guess speaking from someone that’s not really playing to play a rogue a lot But I have in the past.
Maybe this is me but I Feel a little bit bad. Because I remember when they made that change and that was so much better.
Poison charges suck I don’t care if it was the way it was at the beginning. It still sucked Just saying yeah I have it for thirty minutes was so much Better.
the way I’m reading you still need to keep up instant on your weapons if you’re mut spec as you need you only get deadly if other poisons are on your weapons.

I mean I read it as instant poison has a chance to be applied without being on your weapon. Any time instant is applied it also applies deadly. I am pretty sure you do not apply poisons to your weapons with this rune. They are just there perma.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Shadowdance as a rune to make use of those 40energy ambushes and potentially make the sub tree more viable in pve. Not sure how it would go in pvp though.
I see, so with that rune you would run no poisons

This is a fantastic QoL change. Hopefully other classes get some love in this regard too.
