My proposals:
-Rogues must choose between bomb and duel
-Nerf bat to master assassin Lego
-Sap 2 yd range or brings rogue out of stealth. Pick 1.
-Combo points target exclusive
-R/M/X must only be able to que into each other

Why should it when other specs\classes have nearly 5 times rogues representation at higher MMR.

Looking at the chart nearly all druid specs have the same or higher participation at higher ratings as rogue. If anything needs a nerf its priest, fire and arms and ret.

So right now 12.4% of players above 2.2k are arms warriors and 0.8% are frost mages you think this is not a good way to gage what is strong right now?
So basically in order to know what is strong we have to use personal opinion over straight facts\data at competitive levels? Seems crazy to me.
In league of legends champions are buffed\nerfed based on win rates at high rating plenty, should be the same in this game.
Uh, it’s a few things. Stats in a vacuum don’t really tell the full story. Arms is strong, but it’s also fairly versatile in what it can play with. Compare this to, say, BM Hunter, who’ll generally want to play jungle (priest/feral), Feral isn’t terribly popular, or they’re playing kitty, etc.
Little easier over there what with how big their sample sizes are. Another thing is that weird champs with strange builds can pop up in a new role and warp the whole game, even if they hadn’t been changed for months or years prior.
Kind of like how Necro DH and Kyrian Druid took over the ladder towards the end of s2.
I agree, but to say that rogues are the most broken thing this patch is just crazy to me when the ladder is full of arms warriors and the fact that arms warrior is very strong.
Representation is still the only way we can use actual data other than opinion to show what is strong. The fact that warrior is versatile is a strength. You nerf fire mage you will see rogue basically being non existant on the ladder. Just look at how certain buffs effect participation rates and percentages. Its pretty apparent that representation does relate to strength in some ways. I know it is more complicated than that but we are talking to a basic degree.
Also i know RMP can basically win against nearly any comp but i dont think we should balance the game around the best 300-500 players in the world.
Subtlety looks excellent in 2s, 3s and rbgs
Outlaw is excellent in 2s, has potential in 3s
Assassination looks great in 3v3
Honestly I’m fine with the latter specs but Sub control in general is just super obnoxious when paired with Fire/Holy.
Fire and Sub are specs that could eat a 10-15% nerf and RMP would still be good.

That is the problem though, they are just opinions of yours. There is nothing backing that up and we have no way to figure out the metrics of win\lose by race\class so t he best thing we have that isnt opinion base is data.
Like you cant take my word for it because i main rogue and you will obviously be biased by being a warrior. Data is the only thing that should be used.
It would be interesting to see what would happen to sub\fire mage representation if they got a 15% nerf. I bet it would drop suggesting representation does have some sort of link to strength compared to other specs.
Which is the same thing we see when representation increases after buffs.
Oh so lets all circle jerk our opinions to figure out what should be nerfed and ignore the only public data we have that has been re-enforced by past actions. IE classes getting buffed and there representation increasing IE Holy priest.
i just think the dmg is unfair
i’m used to playing against sub fire hpriest and being controlled relentlessly on every go, but that stops feeling fair when they can kill me through bear before i get out of stuns, with just disciplinary command damage+echoing reprimand symbols dance.
There certainly is data, it’s just data that we don’t have access to.
That’s why Blizzard makes the changes and we do not.
