I was referencing a true pure 1v1. Yes, either side could be at an advantage or disadvantage in BGs due to various reasons.
Ah, a duel. A rogue shouldn’t be losing any duel to a class that can’t wall or immune a stun. Vanish into 100% crit reset and blind into 100% crit reset are very strong with the damage they do.
You can only use trinket to counter the opener. If you don’t have defensives that you can use while stunned it is over when they reset.
I’m curious about the mechanics behind this.
I was in a fixed group last night acting as the healer for the flag carrier (DH tank with around 55k health).  Twice I was stunned and he was deleted by the same rogue. Not complaining… it was obviously the rogue playing well.  But AM curious to know what exactly was happening! 
Another player stunned you or the rogue stunned you? Also FCs take increased damage. If he was a DH he should’ve left the rogue in his dust too if the rogue jumped you two solo.

Well, Zombie. If you are unable to kill someone without their trinket inside of a stun then it is you who is bad.
Sub’s kind of a gimmick spec right now that leans on a whacky legendary. It’s already being phased out of the meta as people gear.
Ya pretty much … as we can’t use Astral Shift when stunned , only chance shamans have if trinket is down is to have Earth Ele out so that we can use it’s wall in the stun. And Earth Ele is on a 5 min CD…a good rogue just vanishes and waits for it fall off and murders us anyway.
Rogues in vanilla do not kill in a cheap shot. Go look at mute pvp videos. They have the tools to 1v 1 any class In vanilla, but it takes time. Much longer than 4 secs mind you.
With tea, rogues could kill inside of a stun in vanilla. That was when not every class had a trinket that could break stun. It’s just easier (more consistent) to do now with guaranteed 100% crit.

Smh, how anyone can defend this overtuned spec/legendary rn is beyond me.  I guess people are wanting to dust off their rogues and reap the benefits while spewing bs like “your teammates should peel bro”, “just icebound fortitude every single opener bro”(maybe you’d die in an extra second or two, then  )

Carrying the flag increases how much damage you take.
If the rogue is running darkshadows, prey on the weak, and night stalker, they get 44% increased damage during dance on a stunned target.
If they use symbol of death, that’s another 15%.
If they are running master assassin, they have 100% crit for 3 seconds after exiting stealth.
If they use shadowblades, that’s 30% more damage on shadowstrikes.
If your tank is running around with 50 to 100% more damage taken… that’s just too many multipliers.

Druid can stun and convoke the I win button.
Dont forget DH. Got wrecked carryin flag the other day by a 28k hunt. “Half health? Yeah i won’t pop my defensives just ye…” It was great haha

You mean like trinket instead of sitting the stun?
Trinket is on a 2 minute cooldown. You shouldn’t just auto-lose whenever your trinket is down. You should be at a disadvantage when your trinket is down.
That is bad design.
