Rogues in Delves

I have mixed feelings about Rogues performance in delves… at least maybe as Outlaw. Comparing it to my Arms Warrior who is also in similar Ilvl, I have less trouble on my Warrior than Rogue.

Warrior imo has better a defensive kit, especially when it comes to magical projectiles like Spell Reflection. Cloak of Shadows is on a 2 minute cooldown, didn’t this skill used to have a 1 min CD before in the past? Evasion is alright, would’ve preferred Riposte. Tricks feels buggy, putting it on Brann I still get aggro sometimes(Running Trickster Hero). It’s very inconsistent and I’ll still hold aggro after popping Blade Flurry.

On the verge of getting my 8 done for the week with this class but compared to my other classes I run delves with, I’m noticing some very big cracks with this class. Fungal Folly made me realized that when dealing with spores because Shockwave, Ice Nova, and Petrifying Scream kept enemies in place. :joy:

Could try out Airborne Irritant and see how that goes I guess. :woman_shrugging:

So fellow delvers who play Rogue what was your experience like with this class?

I do 8’s no problem with my low 600’s assassination rogue, i think it’s just a case of different classes/specs having different toolkits, weaknesses and strengths :woman_shrugging:

Outlaw is bugged as all heck, just swap specs.

Yeah, it’s like other two specs are dead for rogues it seems atm. I see Sin rogues everywhere.

Yikes… no wonder lol. Ugh that sucks this was my favorite spec, guess Sub or Sin is on the menu now.

Usually use perma tricks on Brann and he takes care of the rest. Just watch for some bosses that leashes if they are not in the little arenas.

No issues for assassination, at least when I was still running them.

Love doing delves on my assn

Doing them on Rogue feels like work.

Doing them on my Disc or Brewmaster is like night and day compared to Rogue.

Brewmaster I go to sleep while everything dies and Disc I just heal Brann and my MC pet and that’s it, don’t need to use a single cooldown on either of them really.

Assassination seems alright. I will say it’s kind of annoying to run deathstalker when a lot of the bigger mobs and bosses can detect you so you can’t put the death mark on them.

I’ve done Delves with my Assassin Rogue, an he does fine.

Haven’t delved on a rogue yet, but with my hunter and druid, I find it fun to make a minigame of “How much can I possibly stealth skip?” Definitely have more than once spent more time trying to skip a pack than it wouls have taken to fight it, but I think on average the run is faster.

It might take longer but I leave nothing alive when I exit.

My first month or so after reaching 80 was spent in delves. Some were tricky and challenging but you find a way to make it work. Overall, I had a positive experience: some easy, some challenging, some impossible until I got appropriate gear score and strategized.

I also have nothing to compare my experience to, since I only have played Rogue so far.

Really your not playing it right , i have done all 11 tiers and its faceroll on the rogue, i know what you doing wrong but im not giving tips since no one gives me tips

My advice is to play assassination AOE spec. In T8s I plow through mobs on my rogue. Not to mention the fact that you can switch your threat to bran if needed. The mass Garrote and Rupture is HUGE.

You can still only fight one mob at a time but they die in seconds. Due to how fast I melt the mobs I actually prefer my rogue over my warrior.

With that said Rogue is going to feel much more get in and get out. That’s just the nature of the class where the warrior will feel more like hey I could stay in here all day

Okay, wouldn’t want them from you in the first place lol.

Yeah, Outlaw Rogue is rare sight, just me being stubborn and since this is my favorite spec.

Haven’t played this class since BfA so things feel… completely off. :joy:

Well it’s fun and all and I get that but it just doesn’t compare to an entire mob dying in your opening setup.

That’s why I love the spiral weave it’s the fastest delve for the class. Mobs are 3-4 at a time. The entire mob literally dies in my opening

This is Shiftydruid Feel free to copy my spec. I literally copied it from a 4x R1 Glad who posted it in a FB Group as the ideal Rogue spec for Soloing delves
