Just as the title says, I think it would be cool if rogues could train 1H axes.
(first available in wrath)
Its not critical and I know that other classes use them too, but a small QoL change.
I am sure there will plenty of people to cry about this, always is, dont care.
No 10 characters.
Heh, I like the idea. Maybe tie it to one of the tanking runes, that’d be pretty cool and an interesting way to differentiate rogue tanking.
Doesn’t fit class fantasy at all - leave them out. They were added to rogues in Wrath because shamans couldn’t use swords and Blizzard got lazy with itemization on 1-handed loot. Suddenly 1H swords were for STR classes and 1H axes were for AGI, which fit the shaman flavor but not rogues.
There’s a rogue npc in Shattrath that complains about maces being too messy and not at all suitable for rogues. Good thing she never made it to Northrend or she’d throw a fit.
Watch them add it for Alliance rogues only, lol
Mmm Axe of Deep Woods in mainhand would be tasty.
You can already use 1h axes as rogues tho…?
Not in Classic, until Wrath.
I swear I saw it in the weapons trainer in iron forge.
Just didn’t bother to look cause I wanted guns training.
Axes make more sense than maces and maces dont fit the class fantasy either but there they are. Also its SoD, bend and break the rules and have fun.
Outlaws/thieves have a long history of using blunt instruments (blackjacks). Not so much a full on axe.
Sometimes canon/lore is stupid.
