It would be neat to see roguelike elements implemented into leveling that could make the process more challenging yet equally rewarding. Think along the lines of the heat gauge from hades adding negative modifiers to a leveling character in exchange for end game rewards. Could be modifiers like 15% enemy aoe size or increased damage done/taken by 5/10/15%. The rewards could be things like Valorstones or heroic dungeon tokens to speed up the gearing into mythic process. If Blizz really wanted to step it up they could implement a hardcore modifier that greatly impacts your heat gauge reward. The rewards could also include stuff like apocalypse survivor tmog or a toy that turns you into an iron statue for completing the iron man run achievement.

I think the HC classic community would grab on to this if the challenges got extreme enough
