Apparently when you do thrash blade quest the dude turns into a vendor??? That is according to the dude that is wearing 2 thrashs right now
EDIT: He said if you sell the thrash blade to a vendor some how you can buy 2 of them back
Old news. Everyone and their mum has 2 x thrash blades. Guess it’s just a SoM change.

I was also under the impression it was a bug until someone explained how you get it. Call me crazy but it sounds like a feature. A good one at that.
I’ve just started playing SOM and this is pretty lame. they dont do this with any other quest reward why do they do it with these items only?

I think it’s because players did the quest in classic, and either sold the sword or deleted it, forgot there was an item restore so Blizzard made it so you can buy the reward back. That’s just my guess.
A side effect would be the two thrash blades.

Ya pretty much. If they cared they could fix it easily by making thrash blade unique.

Not a big deal tbh, tb isn’t a very good offhand anyways. Sounds like a waste of 15g to me
Lazy, non thought-out fix to save money answering support ticket.
Simply adding the unique tag to the item would have avoided the problem. Quest items don’t normally have/need that tag since it was previously impossible to get two.
Incompetence, nothing more. One of those signs that the devs don’t, and maybe have never played the game.

Item restore i think is how. Plus I feel like a 2.7 wep speed in oh for rogues is too slow. Not going to get many poison procs that way.
get a hanzo sword instead of a second thrash blade.

It’s really damn good for leveling and fresh 60. Considering the alternatives are either BoEs or lvl 60 quests there’s no reason not to use it IMO. You either pay 15g for a 2nd Thrash, or 20g+ for a Hanzo sword if you can find one for sale, or stick with Vanquisher’s Blade for way too long.
Lol stick with vanquishers till you can get mirahs. It’s just fine. I’ve been doing it on my rogues for years.

I didnt bother using 2 TBs. I saved the 16g. =) Plus, I’ll be getting my mirah’s soon enough.
You sell the thrash blade to any vendor, then go and get another blade from the quest giver. Then find any vendor and get your original blade from the buyback panel.
Now you have 2 blades
