So I mainly pvp and I have Mass of McGowan and Glacial dagger right now and I’m CB/Hemo spec. I’d like to get a dagger for my MH so I can ambush again. Would The Lobotomizer and Glacial blade be a good pairing even though their speeds are the same or should I look for a faster dagger for the OH? Mass of McGowan has pretty high top end damage for a non raid weapon, would I be better off just keeping what I have? I also see Scarlet Kris on the AH often which has stats on it and is faster. I don’t raid much so I’m just seeing what my best options would be.

Weapon speed is important in the offhand because the faster you get that offhand stab in, the faster you get your mainhand attack again. I think generally speaking, the distracting dagger from DM W is considered to be pre-raid off hand bis. It has a 1.4 speed, and would pair very well with the Lobotomizer.
Weapon speed is largely irrelevant for your offhand. It’s mostly a statstick thanks to the damage penalties and miss penalties for offhand.
Some will say faster is better, because you’ll get more poison procs, but the difference is pretty negligible.
If you want to stay hemo, then the slowest possible weapon for your main hand will be best…which excludes any dagger what-so-ever.
If you’re looking to just have a dagger to swap in for ambushing, you just want the dagger with the highest top-end…and The Lobotomizer is by far the best of the listed choices.
If you’re staying hemo, your offhand weapon type matters very little…and putting what ever has the highest raw dps is usually a good call.

Thanks guys! I guess ill have to look up one of those weapon switch macros but I think I’ll buy Lobo to do my openers in PvP.
For PVP just fine.
If you playing Cold Blood hemo, consider a weapon swapping macro since you want as many combo points as you can get as cheap as you can get them for the big EV nukes. Assuming here you are talented into ambush for the high base crit.
Hemo scales with weapon speed, and is not normalized like backstab or sinister strike, so your slow mass of mcgowan would be ideal for hemo it self.

Just get both of the AV daggers and forget everything else. AV rendered all the other daggers obsolete unless you get a purple. If you want dagger skill, slot the belt from DMN or the glove from MC. For your off hand, you just want highest DPS. In classic there’s no shiv, mutilate, or combat potency, so your off hand speed simply doesn’t matter.
