Rogue vs Druid PvP

I will eventually get both to 60 but so far with Druid at 34 and Rogue at 28, Druid feels so much safer to lvl and counter gank with.

Example: i get jumped by a Frost Mage a few levels higher on my Feral Druid. I Regrowth/Rejuv then Travelform away till i drop aggro.
Stealth back and kill the Mage if he is still lingering around.
If I’m on my Rogue, that fight uses my vanish to run. Then i have to bandage or eat somewhere, then i come back and decide if i can even beat the mage using only sprint to break nova once.

I know Rock Paper Scissors, Mage can Counter Rogue decently, so can Hunter, so can Warrior, so can Feral Druid, Shadow Priest, SL Warlock…

Do Rogues at 60 have the same issues with Counter ganking?
Do Rogues have more Counters than Feral Druid?

Im planning on either the cookie cutter Cold Blood/Hemo spec, or a bizarro Hemo/Combat Maces spec that can be great vs Mages with imp sprint and Prep.

Is a Feral Druids biggest challenge Shadow Priest and Warlock?

I know this post is all over the place.
Just wondering if Rogue will be an uphill battle vs playing my Drood?

they play different roles in bgs. druid is flag runner, rogue is there to slow and help kill the efc

rogues are good in tier 1 and tier 3, while a little weak in tier 2. druids dont care as much about gear, and dont scale as well either though

for random ganking rogue is better due to having more CDs, druid is ok too. as for counter classes, both have stealth and just avoid bad match ups until they are in a bad spot them selves

Rogues are a total terror in PvP if they get an opener. At level 60 there aren’t many fights they can’t take with gear and cooldowns available. Hunters and a very well geared Warrior give them issues but those fights are still very much winnable for a Rogue if they play well.

Remember also that Druids are an S tier leveling class and Rogues have a harder time leveling than most other classes. It makes sense that, that is your experience for now, but that’s not how it will always be.

Druids at 60 are… different. You can win fights but there are a lot of things to keep in mind:

  1. You will win most fights through attrition, especially as your opponents’ gear improves and your burst damage fails to scale as well
  2. Warlock is virtually unwinnable almost regardless or gear or skill. Shadow Priest is hard but doable
  3. Often times you won’t be able to win due to unfavorable conditions but Druids can pretty much always get away from any fight, so in that sense, it’s easy to say they don’t really “lose” all that often

i feel druid is more “defensively” sound

rogue is “offensively” sound

they have different priorities

Rogue = the ganker… this is your issue.

also as rogue levels to 60 they get more ways to reset a fight other then vanish… druid does not have as many… our best pvp form is usually bear in most circumstances unless we are running or healing.

In the open world, they both have an escape… which is the important thing… coming back after is irrelevant imo, because not every class has true escape ability . Be glad you do… its your choice to go back or not or wait for cooldowns
