Rogue Throw Ability Missing

I can’t seem to find any information online about this but I took a break over the summer/fall from WoW and just started playing again today. Did I miss something in the patch updates or am I going crazy–there used to be a throw knife ability for rogues? I don’t know if they just changed the name or they just completely took it out, but I can’t find it in my spells & abilities tab and I used to heavily rely on it to separate large groups since I mostly play on my own. Is it gone permanently or is this just a bug in the game? Thank you to whoever can clear this up for me!

Shuriken Throw for Sub and Throw Knife for Sin. It would probably be under your specialization part in the spell book.

Sad days my friend, they eliminated Throw in… I want to say 6.0 or 7.0, I cant honestly remember but I know it was in game until 5.4 for sure.

I just checked some screen shots and some vods I have, and looks like 6.0 saw the end of throw, its that or I had macro’d it some how in 6.0, but it was certainly gone the way of the dodo in 7.0.

This unfortunately is one of the many unnecessary casualties of blizzard’s reckless pruning.

As Bigfatcharge has mentioned above we now have spec specific abilities that replace “Throw”.

Throw knife still exist for Sin spec no idea for other tough

Your spell book is now separated by abilities that all rogues have and abilities that only your spec has. Check your spec-specific tab in your spell book. Assassination has poisoned knife and subtlety has shuriken toss.
