Rogue tank t2.5 interaction with blade flurry bugged

The Tier 2.5 rogue tank 2set bonus (swashbuckler) and blade flurry don’t seem to interact correctly together.

Reading the 2set bonus: Your Main Gauche now strikes 1 additional nearby target and also causes your Sinister Strike to strike 1 additional nearby target for 10 sec. These additional strikes are not duplicated by Blade Flurry.

This phrasing indicates that the original Sinister Strike hit should still be duplicated by Blade Flurry, just not the 2nd hit. But testing on target dummies on the PTR, this is not what is happening.

But currently here’s what is happening:

  • With Strikes of the Sinister active and Blade Flurry active: Sinister strikes hits two targets, blade flurry only copies melee attacks. 10k damage from Sinister Strikes, 2k damage from melee hits, 2k damage from blade flurry.
  • With Blade flurry only active: Sinister strikes hits one target, blade flurry copies melee attacks AND sinister strikes. 5k damage from sinister strikes, 2k damage from melee hits, 7k damage from blade flurry

This makes swashbuckler almost useless, especially with tier 3 4p bonus that increases the uptime of Blade Flurry

You answered your own question by quoting the tooltip:

" These additional strikes are not duplicated by Blade Flurry."

There is no bug.

The original strike is not duplicated by Blade Flurry either right now, which is the bug

Right. If you have T2.5 2pc and it did not allow Blade Flurry to still hit a 3rd target, what would be the point in taking Blade Flurry? I guess there’s still the faster attack speed. But still…Feels bad.

Blade Flurry is always going to be better because it doubles all damage, melees and eviscerate. But with T3 4p reducing blade flurry cooldown, t2.5 2p loses a lot of utility
