Rogue tank and Thunderfury

Rogue tanks want to have Thunderfury as BIS weapon for the whole expantion. Dont make a tier bonus set that is clearly forcing us to use a Mutilate build:
Item - T1 - Rogue - Tank 6P Bonus: Your finishing moves have a 20% chance per combo point to make you take 50% less Physical damage from the next melee attack that hits you within 10 sec.

everything i forcing us towards mutilate… they even nerfed Saber slash and removed increased damage per stack to boot… :skull:

I haven’t seen any of the Rogue changes but would like to see em.

If you still got Honor Amongst Thieves idk how this would be the thing forcing you be Mutilate. It’s based off finishers and you would have enough points even as Saber to keep that up 100% of the time imo.

I genuinely thought you were trolling when you said the Saber Slash stuff.

Looking like a Mutilate meta again. Maybe in BWL with CTS you will pull off some Saber.

But idk I got a feeling Perds/Fel striker will do some work. And maybe Dragonfang Blade will overtake Felstriker but idk with that proc.

yeah how those changes made it to PTR even as a consideration is beyond me when the feedback has been to make swords viable again…

They really don’t want us rolling on Swords. Sadge, as I’ve always have and always will prefer Combat Swords… I am on Cata too.

I prefer Combat Dagger even more then Assassin. But sadly I don’t think even in Cata that’s a thing. You really don’t got a effective way to proc Guile.

Just a fan of BF/Adren.

Set bonus is arguably not very good since bosses like ragnaros do not even do physical damage.

Deadly brew should just be base baseline …

If Deadly Brew was baseline Combat Dagger could possibly see play. Would be juicy.

Might still need a damage buff though XD Mutilate is just op.

Im more annoyed at the complete lack of imagination on the new runes.

Just abilities taken from other game versions is one way to completely remove peoples already diminishing interest in SoD entirely. Sucks to be a rogue in SoD

Unless if they did something different in SoM, classic Rag has always done physical damage to tanks.

Skuriken Toss and the tank stuff was it pretty much. Rest was like Talents/Skills from other games.

Even if they didn’t work out like Toss I do appreciate them trying something with it. It was fun to use for kiting even if it was bad XD

The change to shuriken toss is welcomed for me atleast,

Sucks to just get 3 AoE runes on the same slot, the best is just going to be picked regardless which makes the other 2 completely worthless, but it seems like runes are just the MoP style talent system.

Curious about its place honestly now. Seems like a decent combo point generator.

And the other things are on Cloak so did they move Shuriken Toss? I can’t find anything about it moving from Belt?

And I didn’t notice the :

Two other solid changes. But will have to wait and see if that poison is worth dropping Deadly.

I don’t think it will be though because you need it for Envenom XD And if you learn it, it sounds like no matter what it overtakes Deadly on the Deadly Brew Rune. I’d test that on PTR asap.

The Shadowstep thing is hype though.

I hope tank rogues are ready to deal with being forced to use daggers and being forced to do expose armor

The response to rogues having no reason to be invited to a group is to gimp their dps and give them poisons that are a mere fraction of a priest hitting homunculus 1 global every 2 minutes

  • Occult Poison behaves exactly the same as deadly poison but also increases non-physical damage by 2% per application to a max of 10% bonus damage.

apparently it deals the same damage as deadly and also apply the debuff

It needs to be able to proc Envenom though.

Envenom requires Deadly.

But that is a nice change. Maybe you can use Evisc but you need to test it. I don’t think so though.

Same. It is a dead spec because the devs don’t play the class. I am convinced of this.

I wish I knew more for specifics to help out but in their defense it would be pretty hard to balance.

I feel like the Mutilate change was a bit more obvious. I’d say put back the energy and up the damages of Mutilate/Backstab/Saber as needed for Rogues to stay up there in damage. Instead of just having OP Mutilate be the play.

But I’m not a dev for a reason so I’m just saying what I feel would help. But I can catch things like Envenom requiring Deadly.

just tested, it deals damage and it works with envenom
