Devs, curious if the 6pc Draconic tank(Main Gauche CD resets each time your target dodges or parries)could be adjusted? With how much expertise rating we have, this set bonus hardly procs anymore.
Some possible ideas:
-Main Gauche cooldown resets each time the tank dodges.
-Main Gauche cooldown reduced to 6 seconds.
This bonus was printed shortly before blizzard got buyer’s remorse with avoidance tanks due to logs where rogues used MG reactively and would take sub 10k damage over an entire encounter even from Broodlord/Chromaggus just because of parry boxing. During P5 this bonus was a blast but I wouldn’t expect anything to be done with it now just because it supports a kit they are actively trying to make sure we can’t access. You Can still get an entertaining fringe use out of it if you have a rogue or warrior in your raid take off expertise gear so you can be avoidance capped against a boss (killed razuvious like this one week for science, works surprisingly well)
Still, I like the proc on dodge idea since it creates an ICD from not triggering on parry that sort of inherently balances it.
Yeah, I’m super interested to try this set bonus on Razuvious. But I’m not sure it’ll proc much, if at all, with our expertise rating being so high. Lol.
In a party with T2.5 or later it basically will no proc rate outside of the occasional parry- getting value on it currently involves having a dual wield dps (Rogue/Fury/Hunter) wearing T2 or earlier stand in front the boss with you. It’s certainly not a good strat but is definitely one of the funnier ways to game out 100% avoidance. I would still recommend Black Belt on Razuvious for less RNG unless your group is on board with the meme
