Rogue Shadowstep?

Do Rogues no longer get Shadowstep as an ability? I don’t have it on a Rogue I just made, it doesn’t show up as ever possibly getting it in my abilities or in my talent tree.

But for some reason I have this talent that gives it 1 more charge:

Where did Shadowstep go???

And yes I’m not Outlaw, I know it only works for Assassination/Subtlety now, too. Doesn’t show up for me as available in any spec at all.

I haven’t logged into my rogue yet this patch, but it was certainly there on Monday.

I logged onto another Rogue I have and it had Shadowstep. Very strange, something is borked lol

Did you try the search function in your spellbook for “not on action bar”? Sometimes my eyes just completely glaze over certain spells in the book.

Yep, my spell book looks like this:

I checked on my other Rogue and it should be under Assassination, nothing there lol

Is this a low level alt? Have they learned it yet?

They’re level 13, but wouldn’t it show up in my spellbook greyed out because I haven’t learned it yet like the other abilities do?

Or does it just magically appear at some point?

I’m pretty sure you get it at level 11, too, or level 18? I guess I’ll see if it magically appears at level 18 :dracthyr_shrug:

Honestly I’m not sure how it works these days. I haven’t leveled any that low in recent times. Wowhead says a level 11 baseline spell though. Weird.

I have it on my sub rogue. I think it’s sub only now.

Hmm, its on my rogue under the Assassination spells (spellbook, not a talent, so you get it as you level automatically)

Nope. Sin has it too.

Yup, its baseline.

Assassin and subtlety get shadowstep for mobility. Outlaw gets grappling hook at 16.

had the same question when i was leveling a new rogue about a month ago and it just popped into my spellbook at some point after 20ish lmao

And it wasn’t greyed out in your spellbook showing that you would get it eventually, too, like mine is?

Alright I can confirm that taking Thrill Seeking as a talent made Shadowstep show up in my spell book magically.

You’re not alone - I came to the forums specifically to see if anyone else had already posted about it. My lowbie rogue doesn’t have it yet either, and I can’t find it anywhere in the spellbook or talent list. At least now I know I’m not the only one.

It pops up at the level you get it at, it just doesn’t show in the spellbook before you get it for some reason like other abilities.
