That sounds to me like ganking. You are one of the reasons why I always made sure I have health and mana while leveling. Oh, and stam on my gear. Most rogues will open with an ambush and if you dont die are as well as dead themselves or running for the hills.
That’s good practice. When a mage does this, I typically engage once they pull a mob and they use CoC/nova, or once it is in melee range.
Alternatively, to ensure mana/hp consistency you’ll be sitting to eat/drink (probably in short intervals). So I’ll stay nearby and once the mage sits will open. Or you can just open whenever, full stats with their shield and no mob and go directly into ambush > gouge > restealth > cheap shot > backstab > evis > if not dead, blind and restart.
I usually open with ambush into blind, then reset into kill.
Sounds like an opportunist class playing to it’s strengths. I don’t not poly on my mage to reset because I think it’s unfair either.
I guess we don’t all always engage with the exact same numbers, once the opponent has full hp, mana, and buffs, and bow before the match.
Sounds like you think open wPvP or BGs are duels. If you are much lower level than me, and I kill you, I consider this ganking.
If you’re around my level, in the same area, on a PvP server - its PvP. Just like I expect someone coming into an area I’m farming to play to win as well.
Just say “ganking” and we’re on the same page.
No, I dont /bow when Im out in the wold ganking. And in bgs you know people can see “hmm, rogue on the other side”. So, the surprise is not quiet a surprise anymore. =P
In open world, there are rogues. This shouldn’t be a surprise either, especially in the era of Spy’s wide spread use.
What is ganking to you? Any PvP that isn’t XvX with all parties starting in the same conditions?
I consider it killing people around 5 levels lower than me. If you’re in the same zone, same level, engaging mobs when I roll in - that’s literally just wPvP. People in open world are doing stuff, usually killing mobs, and PvP happens - that’s just the way it is.
No sh1t, hence why ganking is different then 1v1 duels, and even bgs.
So wPvP = ganking? Because it’s uneven?
I can unevenly engage someone in a BG as well, so is this ganking?
Is the only PvP duels? Perhaps.
Wouldn’t this mean the only PvPers play on PvE servers

If you’ve played a hunter you know the radius is much larger than the circle of light that you see. Stay far away from flares.

You need Imp sprint, thats a game changer. The CB/prepa is fun for duels vs some classes, but you get kited to oblivion in BG w/o imp sprint.

Hunters are easily beaten. Get in dead zone and gg. I’ve never used a fap on a hunter.

Oh, I have fought good ones, that use frost reflector’s and engineering to their advantages. Those that dont use neither will never beat a good hunter.
I don’t and beat every hunter i come across. I’m patient though. I wait for them to get complacent. A hunter can’t kill me if it’s stunned into oblivion.
