Rogue or Warrior for duo with Resto Druid?

My wife and I have been playing classic since it came out, and we’ve tried out a good number of classes and have finally narrowed down our search to two different duos. She wants to play a resto / balance druid, and I am looking to play either a warrior or rogue. Her druid is level 20, and I have both the warrior and rogue at 20.

We pretty much only play together, and generally prefer to duo, but will do 5-mans for quests / gear as necessary. Our main focus at end game will be farming – preferably duo dungeon runs, and we might raid casually, but nothing hardcore. We play on a PVE server, and have very little interest in PvP.

I am not really fond of tanking for groups, and mainly prefer dps, but find that being able to tank when we are duoing makes elite quests etc. significantly easier. If I go warrior, I won’t be one of those warriors who refuses to tank, but I likely won’t enjoy the dungeons as much if I have to tank. We also really like the double stealth synergy with rogue / druid, to be able to skip trash and get to bosses, but in general the combat seems more challenging without a dedicated tank, and when we get multiple mobs I have a hard time holding threat on all of them as a rogue.

My questions here are:
a) Which duo is going to be better / more efficient at farming end game
b) Am I pretty much always going to end up tanking for a group if I play the warrior, or will I be able to DPS sometimes for 5-mans (even if its only like 20% of the time)
c) Are there any other duos you would suggest that might fit our needs better that we haven’t explored?

Rogue if its a PvP server and/or you want to do stealth dungeon runs. Double stealth can be fun.

Warrior for pretty much everything else. They also have the perk of being the best tank and best dps class. Their main annoyance is reliance on a healer and youll have one.

Warrior. Warrior is the hardest and most fun class in the game. Such insane upside if you get supported by a friend, which if you’re running with a Resto druid you will STOMP.

My wife and I have a similar play style as mainly a duo. We started Classic as paladin/mage but we started exploring alts when my wife started regretting the mage. She is really enjoying the balance druid. I chose priest to run with her to heal our occasional dungeon groups but am having alot of fun with the hunter, which may be the better combo for tank pet.

We definitely toyed with Paladin/Mage for the AoE possibilities, and have also messed around with various combinations containing Warlock, but usually end up deciding that the pet just isn’t reliable enough as a tank. Due to that I had kind of written off hunter as an option – are the hunter pets able to hold aggro well? If so that might be a good option too.

for pvp: warrior is better if you wanna charge in a bunch of ennemy, rogue is better for 2v2. Warrior with a pocket heal is pretty great.

for pve. if you wanna stealth in dungeon rogue/druid will be pretty great, you will be able to duo a bunch of boss. warrior will be better at farming with his non stop cleave

Hunter pets can hold aggro pretty good. If you put points into beast mastery it will be able to tank most things.

Rogue

my2¢

Ok ive read your post this time.

Farming : warrior for smash face against keyboard killing the most possible mob. rogue for stealth run

For 5-man warrior are great dps, nobody is forcing you to tank it just takes more time to find a tank then a dps.

Too early to tell how well the pet will tank. I went from cat pet to bear with improved growl and noticed a big improvement. Another consideration is that at level 20 the druid will get really fast travel speed. She is going to be waiting alot on a warrior. I experimented with warrior as well but am leaning towards the hunter with cheetah as maybe the better leveling partner.

Would you say that there is more content a rogue / druid can duo over a warrior / druid? Or is the rogue / druid just going to be more efficient at it by doing stealth runs? Will there be content that a warrior / druid can duo that rogue / druid can’t and vis versa? Or can they pretty much both do all the same content, but with varying efficiency?
