I know I’m I want to PvP a lot and I know I want to play either Rogue or Warlock, but I cannot decide which one I should go with… So here I am asking for everyone’s opinions. Thanks in advance!
warlocks pvp. rogues gank.
Warlock will be one of the best classes in pvp and rogue will literally be the worst.
Ganking is a major component of PvP.
I think Warriors will be crying the most in PVP. i think people forget how god awful Warrior PVP is before getting gear and a pocket healer.
i dont think you can go wrong with either class. If you like melee go rogue, if you like ranged go warlock. but i predict warlock will be the highest played class.
Both.
play each one, till you decide what play style you like better.
I don’t know if I’ll have time for two characters
both are fun to play, both take some skill to master but once you master one… you will know how to defeat it. I played a hunter and a rogue, I wanted to play both just to see which are the weakness of the other. Playing a rogue taught me how to be a better hunter and playing a hunter taught me how to successfully pvp as a rogue. (even vs hunters)
You can’t go wrong by picking either class, personally I would go rogue since I know how much for for me it was and i have a wife/kids/dog and sometimes being able to vanish out of sight at a moments notice comes in very handy!
Phase 1 large scale I’d go with lock, unless you are playing alliance.
Locks can be very formidable if played by a competent person. They are spec, pet, situation specific. Large scale pvp where they are noth the focus they wreck. Soul Link is tanky when geared right.
Rogues are good small and medium scale pvp. They are opener dependant, but when they do they shine if played by a skilled player. Large scale stealth is broken a lot.
It all depends on what speaks to you. Rogues have the luxury of picking most of their fights in the co ditions they want. Locks are out in the open but have alot of versatility.
Rogue was one of the classes I loved the most. Stealth is such a great mechanic for both pve and pvp. It changes the way you play the game.
One drawback to rogue in classic is you lose your combo dots when you switch targets.
What if I’m playing Alliance?
depends what you like… they’re vastly different.
Night Elf hunter or gnome mage.
What’s wrong with Alliance Warlocks/Rogues?
You have to fight a ton of undead and orcs.
Classic expert here, here’s the bigger picture. As alliance you got undead and Wotf to deal which sucks, but guess what? You will be STRONGLY recruited by guilds as an alliance warlock. You will be asked at lvl 58 to come to MC because your banishes and curses make the raid 10x easier. As the game progresses even further and more raids come out you’ll continue to ascend in pvp and pve.
A few years ago on a classic server my friend hit 60 with his alliance warlock and was all purple in under 3 weeks because there just weren’t enough warlocks to go around. Months later my NE hunter still wasn’t as geared as my buddy’s warlock at 3 weeks.
Do I want you to go alliance warlock? Not really, I want the easy loot for myself. Should you go warlock? Did I mention the free mount?
And on a pve server that’s fine.
If you want to PvP, play a warlock. If you want to be a coward and attack people only when its a guaranteed win (they are <5% HP) and pretend that you actually did something impressive… play a rogue.
WoW rogues are the most cowardly of all classes in the history of any MMO… and it only got worse with CoS (thankfully not available in classic).
Play a warlock and together we can wipe them from existence!
