I main a fire mage but cannot decide whether I should alt my 120 warlock or level my lvl 70 void elf rogue. I only have time for 1 alt so it’s either the rogue ve or the gnome lock. Are rogues in a bad place right now? I think having a lock alt to the main mage might mean too much casting. How do you as rogues feel about this decision and what feedback can you give me?
I’ve mained Rogue-Lock since vanilla. It started with my gnome lock long ago and slowly moved more towards my rogue. I really enjoy both and they are a nice break from each other. Both my lock and rogue are above 378 ilvl atm.
As for your conundrum, If you already have a caster I would roll rogue. Mage and Warlock are similar enough in function and role that you would likely just favor one over the other and let the other fall by the wayside.
Rogues are in a pretty good spot right now, but like all classes they have their issues that need to be resolved. For leveling, go Outlaw, and when you finally get geared start considering sub or sin spec.

Do you like waving your hands in the air or sneaky stabby things to death while they are incapable of responding? The choice is clear.

I’d Alt the Rouge for no other reason than to have a completely different experience from playing the Mage. Nice to have a Ranged toon & a Melee toon for the variances in play style.
