Ok I’m only level 19 atm but in dungeons I’m normally last on dps, I’m using a 2.6 Mh and a 1.7oh sword…full agi gear…is it the fact we just have NO aoe?, can’t believe blizz didn’t give us a aoe ability on sod
rogues are specialized in single target dps 
either your group members are higher level / more geared than you, or you need to work on your rotation or something.

Without trying to sound rude, skill issue. On boss fights you should absolutely be pumping, in multi target fights you may not keep up depending on the party comp

Ignore the comments, rogue only gets strong at 25 and once you have deadly brew, envenom, and saber slash runes in use.
For a rotation: use saber slash as your combo point generator. And then use slice and dice as your first spender at 5 combo points. Then you use envenom at your next 5 point spender. then back to slice and dice. Keep going back and forth until the boss is dead. So, saberslash 5 times, slice n dice, saberslash 5 times, envenom, etc etc. If you can start the fight in stealth, starting with garrote is fine as well.
In aoe situations you will lose out heavily there is no getting around this as a rogue capped at 25, but in single target you should be near the top if not at the top with this build. As for gear, agi/strength on as much as you can get. Aim to get cruel barb or, if you are lucky, shadowfang BoE from SFK for your main hand. For an offhand, meteor shard should be another priority to farm for in SFK from the last boss (though yes, any fast weapon in offhand works fine, look for weapon dps to be high there. Weapons are the most important piece of gear for your damage, so prioritize those first.
Also, with deadly brew, don’t put poisons on your weapons. But you CAN put a sharpening stone on your offhand. This is due to how the rune functions with envenom.

Ok, so as I’m duel sword…all I can really do is saber slash and keep slice n dice up with the occasional eviscerate.
I can’t backstab as duel swords, 2.6speed mh and 1.7oh
Nothing lives long enough in dungeons to do anything as a rogue, you get like 2 hits off and it dies before you can finish a combo.

im usually top in dungeons as a rogue in SoD, its not the class its just you.
19 is kind of on the low end for DM. Not that you can’t do it, especially in SOD, but most people are running it above 20 and 25. Your comparing yourself to better geared and higher level players, of which there is a lot on SOD. 18 or 19 is basically the level you can start doing DM, but it’s far from the best. Healers can do it at 16, but anyone below 20 is basically being carried at this point.

Being only level 19 you still have a few levels to go.
For your mainhand you want and slow attack speed and high dps. cruel barb will be the best you can get on alliance. until the raid or the wsg rep weapon.
Always be the 1st hitting something. Make the tank take the mob away from you. the faster you dps the more you dps. in group content there no need to be in steath.
edit: now that i think about it. before i got the “good runes” i ran daggers in dungons. Used shadowstrike and Slaughter from the shadows, spec into baskstab crit, behind the enemey damage, and just deleted mobs before anyone else had a chance to touch them.

I say this b’c I was having the exact same issue, my dps was in the trash and I’m not naïve enough to think that "Oh there’s something wrong w/the game, my toon, other ppl have better gear…(insert random excuse that shifts the blame from me). This is the first time I’ve played rouge since launch and I’ve played since day 1 due to the fact that the class always intimidated me for some reason. I was hearing talk of “combo points” and “stun lock” builds, timing your envenoms , etc. and didn’t want any part of it lol.
- Saying it’s a skill issue, and leaving it at that, does nothing to help someone who is having an issue with a class.
You want to point out that it’s skill, fine, do so…don’t be rude about it for one but more importantly, give advice and instruction. The tired phrase of “git gud” is as helpful to someone actively seeking help as it is if you were stuck on the side of the road, w/no cellphone and people drove by yelling “You should call AAA”. Thank you Captain Obvious.
For those that DID actually lend a helping hand, good on you, to those who didn’t, well I can only say if ever you’re in need of assistance, I hope you don’t meet someone like yourself in this situation. All too often people forget, there are individuals with feelings on the other end of these screens, treat others how you would like to be treated and this community could be it’s best self.

As others have said, at 19 you dont have the runes or poisons. With those you’ll be pumping top of the charts on single target.
drop what you’re doing ingame and get saber slash. not a skill issue, when there is no skill expression for most classes yet.
