I heard in a podcast or interview a while back that rogue was supposed to be getting death mark as a capstone (not the retail one but a 6 second damage build-and-burst ability).
Is this still happening?

Oh you missed it in the patch notes? Understandable, that rogue section was daunting to read through.
I still think yes, but I am unaware of them saying anything else. Other than the mention of it in the podcast.
Which is a little concerning. Beta is ending soon and I don’t know if they will drop patch notes in the two weeks before launch.

I don’t see anything about deathmark in the patch notes.
The only time I’ve seen it mentioned was the podcast.
Nonetheless, I think it’s an interesting spell to try out in rogue. And certainly beats out thousand cuts.
I literally missed rogues the first time I read through the notes. Y’all practicing stealth in articles now.

No no, it wasn’t in the patch notes. I was just making a joke about how few “changes” rogues had.

Don’t bring that crap to this game.
I don’t like this change at all for a capstone. Rogues have too many finishers right now. Sub will never be able to maintain Rupture, SnD & Death Mark without big changes to the trees or energy regen.
They need to redesign the ability to be a CD. Balance percentage of damage done or limit it to backstab or ambush damage only to make it not overpowered in PvP. Energy economy is already a problem & adding more finishers isn’t the answer.

That’s a great point. If energy issues are already present, a burst finisher like this will be underwhelming.
