Rogue Covenant abilities need to go

Really, rogue covenant abilities absolutely need to go in Dragonflight.

(1) Sepsis is just one more boring button to press, brings nothing to the gameplay.

(2) Echoing Reprimand is just adding a layer of complexity for nothing. I like abilities that improve the gameplay, not one that forces me to track combo points. IMO it made the gameplay degenerate, especially as Subtlety with Shadow Technique procs.

(3) Flagelation was fun for one expac, but I’m ready to move away from it also. I’d rather they focussed on revamping cool abilities from the rogue toolkit than trying to bring back Covenant Abilities.

(4) Serrated Bone Spike, by far the most fun, and it’s nowhere to be seen.

Just get rid of them and get us something else.

Blizzard isn’t really known to scrap/add entire abilities once they get announced. They will tweak them but they won’t remove them like you want.

I don’t know about pve but I don’t think echoing reprimand will be relevant in pvp and IMO that ability is the most degenerate out of the four. So I’m glad for that at least. Flag looks like it’ll be part of an AOE build in raids, though. Sepsis… well, if nobody takes the talent it’ll be like they removed it from the game right?

This, why was this not included?? At least for Assass. Actually cool/unique/fun

yeah, the ONE cool and unique ability is not in the tree.

Initially I was against covenant abilities but after thinking more on it, they don’t have the juice of legendaries or conduits to make them ridiculous. They also just accent what we are shooting for depending on what we take.

I have been with flagellation this entire time (even in beta) but I found a couple cool things I like using sepsis. As far as tool kit wise, it does make sense to have an ability that emphasizes our poison stuff. I want to use the full kit of rogue and now we finally can again since what… wrath or cata? I can’t remember when they made us 1 tree only.

Getting to pick elements from each part of our kit is a great feeling and there are definitely a lot of cool choices out there.

Sepstis on assas is quite good if you take the middle row you can make its dmg tick twice

Yeah agreed, it will come down to using our class kits to buff stuff, not conduit stuff like in SL that made things hit stupid hard on their own.

There are a lot of options to take depending on what you envision for your style which is really cool.

this here.
